Another WordPress Rant - Spacing
I am still not understanding how my website can look one way within WordPress as I am working on it, and a different way after WordPress publishing. The spacing changes and makes the website look very unprofessional.
I have uploaded two images...the first one is what it looks like as I am working on a page in WordPress. The second image is what it looks like after being published.
In the first image, there is only one highlighted space. In the second, published, image there are two highlighted spaces.
It is not doing this in the other rows and columns; only in the first row. I have looked in the WordPress coding and I am not finding any difference within the rows.
I have to go to "View-Invisible Characters" while working in WordPress to make everything line up nicely. But, then again, I publish and everything looks different. Notice also how my links don't appear as clickable?
Why do they look so different?

Hi Shannon, Well, as Barbara mentioned this is usually a result of a poorly designed WordPress template. The CSS - Cascading Style Sheets are reformatting things in a manner you're not expecting. I would definitely switch to another template. You should Not lose your links. But, you can install a backup/restore plug-in and back up all your data first.
Thanks PJ,
I think I am going to try another template. Any suggestions on a good one that is easy to work with?
There are so many out there. But, here's what i do. Go into Appearance > Templates > Add New.... Then, there is a FILTER option, click that. Put a checkmark next to "Responsive", also "Two-Column" and "Theme Options" .... that last one will yield results for themes with above average design. Don't forget to click Apply Filter. Then, it will do it's thing and bring back quite a few good ones.
ShanLeigh, I sent this question to Loes and PJGermain. They are both very knowledgeable. If they don't get back to you, type their name in the white space above. It'll take you to their site and shoot them a question.
