My site health for plugins is poor, I have 9 plugins at present.
The Recomended number of plugins, from what i can gather is around 5 how can one trim down this number with

I've 13 plugins and a site inspection tool I use (http://nibbler.silktide.com) rates my server operations at 99%, which is pretty darn good by anybody's standard.
I suggest that you use the tool to rate your website, and not to worry as long as the tool doesn't flag up your server operations as problematic.

Oh yes. Kind pricey though, sadly. Still, I will pay for it on a monthly basis and use it only every other month, or once a quarter, or something like that.
This may help you Shane, also Kyle has suggested limiting the number of plugins as it does tend to deteriorate performance. How to avoid using plugins that could affect your site? And how many is too many?
It is hard giving up the plugins as they are useful but i am just wanting to improve my site health. Thank you for the link I will have a look.
