I added a new post and although separated by title in the margin when I go to my site it has landed on top of my home page?? Not Good!

Your site is setup to have your blogroll on your homepage. The more posts you add, the more will show up. What do you want your homepage to look like?

By default, your homepage is the Blog Roll, and all posts will go there automatically. Was this your first post?

To change this setting, in your editor you can click on SETTINGS / READING and set the homepage to "static"

ok thanks i will try that. This was my 2nd post my first set as my home page automatically. i have another site that did not do this

Rats! No home page listed under that option. Just my Menu selections.

Here is a screenshot of what I can see under settings / reading.
Under the sub-heading "Front page displays" I can select "static page."
If you don't have the option, it may be your theme choice.
Good luck!

Thanks I have that option, it's just that under Front Page Displays it only list's my pages not my "post" home page so I cannot make it static.

My view page will not show my page (it is blank-white) This is in edit mode for pages. Text shows fine. Ideas??

Good afternoon. I want to make sure I answer your question correctly, so I am going to reword it to see if I am understanding correctly.

You have two places on your edit page to actually see your final post or page. At the top just above the title of your post/page you can "view page", but using this link to see the post/page, you must first make sure you have "updated" your post/page that you were editing, or it will not show any results.

The second place you can view your page/post is on the right-hand side just below the publish button, which says, "Preview changes". You can click this link to see your post/page, regardless of whether you click "update" button or not.

Try "updating your page/post first to see if that was the reason you could not view your page. Let me know if I did not answer your question correctly.
Good question
Ken

Thanks but it's my visual editor that's not working. Shawn has sent a video on it.

Hello,

Do you want to say that you visual editor is not working or do you want to say after you save your changes that your "view paghe" link does not work?

Grtz,
Bert

Visual editor. Shawn has now sent a link to upload "Foxy Proxy" as I guess i am not alone here.

The "link" icon, paragraph heading set icon are hidden. Basically it shows only 6 or 7 icon tools all the rest are hidden not at all like the tool bar shown in Kyle's video's

Hey Man! Look for this button on the top section of your editor... I think this is what you need. See the picture I've attached- it's in the same section that you would find the option to make something bold/italic/underline. Click this button and you should see an additional menu appear. Hope this helps!

I'm in one of my pages to edit but not finding it...

Never mind Got it i had to open visual which for over a WEEK it would not display for some reason. Thanks for saving me again Brother!

Look for your "add media" button, the one you would click to insert a picture from your media library. Directly below that you should see the "B" for making your font bold. Count 14 buttons over towards the right... it should be the last button and will resemble a keyboard like a little boxy looking icon

You bet man happy to help! I'm on the hunt for some of that universal good karma lol send some my way please! :-)

You have to hit that little tab that looks like a keyboard to open up the bottom half.

Need help with the below:

The last thing you need to do is copy the embed code next to the creative option you have chosen and implement it by pasting it on the back end

Hey man, when your in wordpress, start a new page or post. There are two tabs visual/text on the right hand side of the box you would type in. Choose text, and paste the code you got there.

For the code itself, select/highlight it all and copy- you may need to right click your mouse. Then put your cursor back in the text editor in Wordpress, paste in there and save/update. Hope this helps!

Thanks I will give it a try. Not sure it will carry the picture from banner but I guess I will find out.

Whoa!! That worked well, Thanks Brother!

Awesome you bet man anytime. I had the same issue myself once upon a time so I'm glad I could help! Have a great weekend

Where / How did you get that message?

I did not see your original question.
What do you need help with?

Good folks here in the community answered it. Thanks, Merry Christmas!
