WA support rocks!
I really don't know what else WA can do to impress me....but they just keep doing it!
Firstly a massive big THANKS, CHEERS and bucket loads of APPRECIATION to the WA support team.
WHY?
A wee way back, for personal reasons, I had to relinquish my premium status with WA (nothing to do with WA. It was external situations). In doing so I lost the hosting for my site and all the content on that site...or so I thought (read on). I had plenty of warning from Kyle and the WA team this would happen so the blame is entirely on me here.
Now normally a web host is well within their rights to delete everything to do with your site if you have been given fair warning and I believe most will do so within a couple weeks of you leaving or not paying your hosting bill.
NOW HERE'S THE ADVISE
Back up everything! And back it up to an external system or hard drive...not just your PC or laptop. Why? Because I didn't. I backed it up to my laptop and thought that'll do just fine. Nope...My laptop decided it needed a career change and became a toaster and cooked everything inside.
Fast forward a few months and my external situations are resolved and I'm happily back at WA.
COMMUNITY
Now I believed all my past work was gone but was curious none the less to find out if it was at all possible to recover a lost site. I put the question to the WA community and was answered within minutes by some members I have great admiration for.
I was pointed in the direction of WA support. I asked support if there was any remote chance they had a back up of my site....it was a long shot but worth a go I thought.
Well blow me down! Literally within minutes I received a message from support advising me that my site was back up and running....and it was. Outstanding!
THE RESULT
One very very happy chappy.
WHAT YOU CAN TAKE FROM THIS
Wealthy Affiliate is not just another mass produced repackaged same ole same ole. What you have here is a very unique opportunity to work and learn alongside a very ethical bunch of people who go above and beyond to create a learning environment you can be confident in.
The very fact WA stored my site in their archives for as long as they did and then had it back up and running in no time for me to continue on with just shows their dedication to your and my success here. Add to this the dedication of so many members to help one another and you simply have a recipe for greatness.
Now it's up to me.

Yeah, what I think is that a hosting company does not obliterate a site but it will keep from the search engines so people could not access it.
You may well be right Jimmy but it's the speed and response from WA support we have here that is yet another reason for being a happy member.
