Upon seeking out the best deal on a specific name brand automotive part to install on my mustang and therefore want to write a review, including a call to action, only to disco

I had an experience with a website that has tutorials pertinent to my website that they sell. I sent them an email inquiring if they had an affiliate program. They wrote back and said they did not but they told me that to help me launch my blog if I wanted to promote a drawing they would give a free class to the winner. So far I don't have enough followers to do a drawing, but I posted about it and when I reach a certain number of followers will do the drawing.

Thank you, good advise. I will contact this vendor and see if they will offer any kind of assistance or compensation for promoting their products.

Hi Scott, it's a little difficult to work with websites or sell products which do not offer affiliate programs. But one way could be selling it by your self. it means, if it's a very big deal and you sure that it converts well, you can buy some for yourself from that website first (automotive parts in your case), then write a review and sell them yourself. But you need to monitor the costs closely since the post and shipping (specially if you send them internationally)costs will be added to your expenses.

Best,
Ali

Thanks Ali, I will look into purchasing this particular item in bulk, see if vendor will cut me a break...
Appreciate your feedback.

Hey fellow WA members, I seem to be stuck & haven't been able to come up with any worthwhile key words to add content to my supercharged mustang site. I have been strugglin

Hmm. My dad and brother are both mechanics and typically we don't navigate to any of the auto retailer sites directly. Mainly because we work on a varity of vehicle and motorized toys. Our first stop is google and we work based on what comes up in the search results. Depending on the item sometimes we end up on ebay and sometimes another small site or even an informational site.

Now I don't know who you are targeting audience wise but what I've noticed in my dad and brother ages 50+ and early 20s respectively is that they don't like the computer systems you see in newer cars so essentially they turn to the web or another mechanic.

I took a quick peek at your site and it looks pretty good. I would definitely think more about who you are trying to sell to and what they would be looking for. When I think of a backyard mechanic I think of someone who know a thing or two but maybe not everything. Perhaps show a really cool upgrade or a common one and give a DIY or overview and then throw in the affiliate links to the parts. Think about what a person navigating to your site would want or is looking for. I think that will help you break the 1st page barrier.

Overall it is really up to you, but also consider who your competition is. It's not the big retailers and their shopping sites it is others who are providing generally sub-par information to the users. Beating them in rankings shows that you have better content than them and just need to kick it up a notch. I'd personally stick with it and see what happens.

--Just my thoughts, feel free to ignore me and go your own way. Good Luck!

That is motivating advise, I appreciate it. And yes I have wanted to do a video on an installation of some sort, I know I refer to youtube how to video's almost daily.. thanks Nichole

Do you have a plan B? Is there something else that interests you or interest you enough to be able to learn and write about it as you go.

Yes actually I have another web site dealing with audiobooks, but I've been devoting most of my time to the mustang site, maybe I should spend more time on the audiobooks, as I have plenty to write about.
Thanks for the input, appreciated.

do you go to the mustang meetups or did you take a journey in one you could write about that, or where to get parts, page two is good so what is on page one do not give up just yet, for example the search term "ford mustang parts" has a QSR 154 monthly searches are 4058 and the traffic is 690,, so this is a good prospect and for an affiliate program vividracing.com have one, so perhaps you can see what is in demand within your mustang sector

Ok thanks Katie, I'll check out vividracing. A few of the major auto parts sites won't allow you to link until your site has traffic, which is understandable, I'll just have to keep plugging away.

There is a market for mustang parts for sure let us know how your getting on

Will do!

Page two is good also. It takes some time to gain expertise and recognition within a niche. I will keep my niche and search for some good content but at the same time, I would start another niche, this time by evaluating the competition. Many people here have multiple niches. If you have difficulties in finding another niche you may start the Affiliate Bootcamp to be Affiliate for WA. I hope this helped. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks, I started this niche before I went through any of the training so I have now become aware of the importance of doing a little research on your niche before running off and creating a website, buying a domain & then trying to make keywords and content fit rather than starting with a good keyword and writing content based on good keyword research. Thanks again appreciate the input.

You're welcome.
