I always leave what is issued as it is a secure password.
Then use dashboard to enter and all good.
And as staed by Sherion - hit details.
Much easier
for now I think I agree with mrsljc - hit the WA support.
I do not think there is anyone in chat to sort this.
Did you change your username or just your password. Go through Build my Website and use the username you always had with your new password. See if that works.

You might have to send a message to WA's IT and get your password reset. Also try stating the problem in the live chat. There's a more captive audience there. Sorry I couldn't help. Good luck.

What is my Wordpress user name

I have the same problem. It's pop-up with the insallation of this akismet plug-in, and then I realized that although I can manage my website through "build my website" link and WP, and obviously I have aWP account, I still don't know what is my username...
No, it's not working. You can use admin to accss your website from here, but when you tru to install your akismet plug-in, a window with a username/password of WP pop-up, and the username "admin" is not acceptable (and I can understand why, but I think I have a different username that I don't know about yet, and this "admin" name is just for a fast access.)
That's what I finally done. The point is that there is an option, BEFORE you make an akismet account, to make it with your WP username and password and "admin" is not acceptable.
ahha..."COMSI-COMSA".
If we define win as reached ourgoal- so yes, I update my plug-in and it's working right now. If we define win as a better understanding of the system, and starting from the basic of "know what is your WP username" (and mostly because I don't know when I'll be going to need it, and I rather be prepared) so we still got to learn.
Thanks for your help, anyway :-)

You need to go to Askimet website and create an account first - then you can login there.

Well, as long as you got there - not really sure what the deal was, but we win?
