Ok, so it's great an' all that I had my first sale, but you know how you get so excited and start thinking, well the sky's the limit now! I can do anything! Lol , and I am especially known for jumping the gun and just running with ideas! Yea, so you know that feeling?
I officially hate it now! it's been over a week and I am running low on buzz... no 2nd, 3rd 4th etc sales like I expected... heck I would settle for about 60 people clicking my link now but it just 'ain't happennin'.
So this is when the desperation sets in, and you go into hyperactive mode because no matter what, you tell yourself, 'FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION'. And it's not just a cheesy line because there are so many reasons why it really isn't, not the least of which is proving to 'all them bozos' that they were wrong about you and this 'make money online' scheme!

You are doing good! I know - because I finally got my site in Google 1st page after languishing in pgs 5,4,2, but nothing is happening! You know what, I just keep on ramping up more content until I see a hint of a "silver lining". No surrender and no quit here,lol! Luck and Best!

Have you checked Jaaxy or the WA keyword tool for keywords you have used in articles on your site? If you haven't, you may be surprised to find some of your keywords rating higher than you thought...this happened to me. :) I was uber-hyper when I got my first sale last week too! Lol. Seriously, check your keywords in one of the tools. Good luck.
Patience! What did you do to get that first sale? Take a look at what worked, and do more of it. As you build your business, always take a look at what is working, and what isn't. Add more of what is working, and less of what is not. It is human nature to have an emotional high followed by an emotional low. Build your business on what is working, not your emotions, Keep moving forward, even through the low times, and soon the breakthrough you are looking for will come. Believe in that, and believe in you.
It's like dating. You know one day that special one is going to be your spouse one day. Then that day finally arrive. Trust me, the patience is well worth it. I love my wife.

We wanted to race ahead without skipping lessons, feeling frustrated, just talking to, and getting the help and support from our community, helped us get back on track.

I gave up on a website last year because I could see that it was not evergreen. I was flogging a dead horse. It took me a whole year to make $52. I reckon I averaged about 20 views per day. I'd kill for that now!
I'm starting over again but only 3-4 months in with a WA promotion site. I do understand a lot more about it now, and how Google rankings work. It takes patience. Even though I have some pages ranking under my keyword, they are not on page 1 so I can't expect traffic. I know that it will take 6-12 months until I see better rankings and visitors.
Keep persisting, don't give up. This does take time, but I feel your pain!
Take a deep breath, and another but don't hyperventilate. Lots of people who have been here longer than you haven't done this much.

Now is not the time to give up. I got a little nibble a while back and I am a rank beginner. I didn't let myself get excited because I knew it was a fluke. So just hang in there, keep up with the program, keep adding pages, and it WILL happen. Probably when you least expect it. Drop your expectations. Expectations are a killer. Let them go. What can you give to your customers that will do them good? What sort of content would be helpful to them? Write about those things. Concentrate on those things. Not your sales. And the sales will come. Practice some deep breathing to help get through the stress. I do know it's hard. It's hard for me too. I'm broke. But I also know that concentrating on what is best for the customer is the way to go. It's the only way to go. Best of luck to you. Hang in there. You can do this.

I know it is hard to let go of expectation. It is probably one of life's hardest lessons. I learned it in the school of hard knocks, really hard knocks, so it's not so hard now for me. But I really understand the wanting. It's like waiting for Christmas when you are a kid. It seems it will NEVER get here. But eventually it does. So do something nice for your inner kid. Maybe that will help.
