My life's journey and understanding what that is, started late. If only I was learning what I am learning now 20 or even 30 years ago. I can't change that so all is good. If I was asked what a limiting belief was I would not have known. The last 10 years have been wonderful.
I have just finished reading a book "The Emotion Code" by Dr Bradley Nelson. Interesting. We are all carrying emotional blockage from the past. These can even be blockages that have been passed down by grand parents which hold us back. They are also what can be part of our own limiting belief system. We all have one. I am currently working with a practitioner to find my emotional blockages and release them one by one. I can positively comment that I am feeling lighter.
Dr Nelson's book, plus many other learning experiences and my life's journey have enabled me to have a better understanding of limiting beliefs. I think that they are everybodies biggest hurdle. I am sure that we have all learnt something about limiting beliefs but I am going to share with you anyway.

Does all this work. My background is that I turn 70 next month. I am healthy and not ready to stop. Hence, WA. 7 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinsons. That day I made a promise that I would beat/cure it. I am still in good shape. I will win. The only thing that can stop me is my limiting beliefs.
Over the next week from my reading and research I will share several blogs around limiting beliefs. It has certainly helped me. I now expect miracles in my life, and I have learnt to release any attachments to specific avenues or outcomes that do not benefit me.
Rather than insisting that success or achievement comes only in one way or form, I have opened up to all that the Universe has to offer. Sometimes what I end up with is so much better than what I thought I originally wanted, and the way I obtained that desire was something far removed from anything I could have imagined in the beginning.
It doesn't have to be a big life-altering goal for expectations to work. Miracles come in small packages each day. By clearing your limiting beliefs and allowing miracles into your life, you will reap all the benefits, large and small, that come from those experiences. It doesn't have to be a year from now; it can happen today, no matter where you are in your life. Sometimes all it takes is one little tiny shift and the flood gates open!

How do you Identify Limiting Beliefs:
- Your excuses, if examined, will reflect limiting beliefs
- The areas of your life that you would like to change, but that you've been avoiding,
will also illuminate limiting beliefs - The details that upset you about your health, relationships, spiritual life, and professional
life are details to examine closer to show you the limiting beliefs within each category - Look at the things in life you are afraid of to identify the limiting beliefs that are at the
root of each one - The repeating negative patterns in your life will also reveal limiting beliefs
- Your Emotional Guidance System - when an unpleasant event or trigger arises, ask yourself
- what does this make me feel? If it is anything less than desired, then it is connected to a
limiting belief. As you journal and meditate on this, the limiting belief will begin to show
itself
Counter-Intentions
There are more limiting beliefs in this world than we could count, or certainly address in
print. However, most of them fall under seven recurring themes. Here are the first two.

I'm Not Good Enough
Many of us can remember standing in the schoolyard, waiting to be picked to be on a team.
No matter when we were finally chosen, if we weren't first, we felt inferior. This process
repeatedly happens throughout life-the job you didn't get, the relationship that
dissolved, the notice from the electric company, etc. It's a natural feeling that sets in when
these events happen, and all too often, we carry these feelings with us-sometimes for
years. Unfortunately, when we decide to change our life, these feelings can get in our
way. That little voice in the back of our mind may be telling us that you aren't good
enough, while you're making plans and efforts toward your goals. Consciously we want
them and plan to take action toward them, but subconsciously, you don't believe you're
capable, or that you deserve to reach the goals you set, so why try? It's like having one foot
on the gas and the other foot on the brake.

No One Likes Me
You may think that you aren't well-spoken, interesting, or particularly fun to spend time
with. Or you may feel like you don't belong in the group. With these thoughts, it can be
easy to assume that you aren't likable or have inherent flaws that aren't there. As with
most limiting beliefs, this one is self-fulfilling. For example, if you believe that you don't
deserve friends or relationships, you probably don't try to have them; therefore, you
don't! Even if you did try, the effects of the belief will energetically manifest and those
around you will unconsciously pick up on it and will most likely form a skewed perspective
of you. Once you realize that this perception isn't real, you can take steps to reverse its
effects.
Most limiting beliefs, at their root, are negative perceptions of yourself, others, and the
world around you.
I will share more with you tomorrow. I am happy for any comments or questions.
Have a great day
Stephen.
