Social Media, a blessing and a curse

As a blogger, why would I ever say social media is a curse? After all, it gives me exposure, traffic, networking, everything I should need for a successful blog.
My issue with social media is the temptation to overdo it and also get distracted. Sometimes it is so easy to become absorbed in marketing on social networks that our content begins to suffer from lack of effort put into that all important aspect.
Did someone say distraction? That is the goal of social media, isn't it? To capture a person's attention. We must be so careful when updating and commenting on social networks. It's a good strategy to be out there, but it isn't to spend hours and hours a day out there (Even if it is Wealthy Affiliate, as wonderful as the community is)
That's my thought for the day, anyway. Be careful with your time everyone and put your content first. Remember, high quality content is what keeps your viewers coming back and what gets your site bookmarked.
Best of luck everyone, and blog on.
