Almost Got Scammed
Greetings from sunny Los Angeles on this fine autumn day! I know the start of this post may seem chipper, but a nightmare almost happened as I was working on one of my websites...
I almost got scammed on PayPal this morning. After receiving the email, I'm thinking that I earned my first commission, only for some [bleep] to request $500. I didn't know what to do, so I called to put a stop to it.
No luck, as I was talking to an automated voice.
The only thing I could do was cancel the bogus transaction, because I'm not paying nonexistent money to some scammer looking to run game.
In a nutshell, for anyone who does use PayPal, always cancel if someone goes to you for a fraudulent money request. I know times are rough and people need cash for the basics, but scamming folks is not the way to do it.
