What I chose as my first niche site
I like to spend time with family and capture moments together. I like taking short clips of our activites and stitchng them together to create a family video. My 2 yr old seems to enjoy the videos I make - I guess because he likes watching himself on the screen. And my wife enjoys them too. The more I create family videos, the more I make them happy. And because of that, I get motivated to improve my skills to get better and take more creative shots. So, I enrolled myself in an online course to help me with it.
I wanted to incorpote all those mentioned above with my chosen niche. So I thought of a niche on Photography and Videography using an iPhone. And I'll do this in a form of blogging.
Before anything else, I checked if the school I enrolled at has an affiliate program that i can apply for -- and luckily they did! So I quickly applied to their affiliate program and I am currently waiting for their approval.
While waiting for my approval, I started to build my own website.
In my website, I will blog some of the learnings I will be getting out of the course I have enrolled in. I will also include some of my personal tips and tricks to it.
My goal is to give my visitors enough information to essentially know the basics of iPhone Photography and Videography. And if they want more, I'd refer them to the school I enrolled at via my affiliate link - I hope I get approved.
I've already published 2 posts since I built my website a few days ago. I spend a few minutes during my break to work on it. I'm in a project now so that's why I have limited time to work on this. But once the project is over, I'll have more time soon.
I am excited and anxious for this new venture of mine.

That's a great start applying to the program for the course you took. There are a bunch more opportunities for your site as well.
For example I know that my husband bought a special case for his phone which enabled him to use multiple lenses on his smart phone. You can also find a program for those lenses and cases! Then there's always storage for folks who don't want to put it in the cloud, or cloud service affiliate programs.

I’ve added a section in my site for equipments which will feature different products that are linked up to Amazon.
However, I haven’t added cloud storage — which is a great and splendid idea! You rock! Thanks for the help!
Those types of products are not impulse products. People may have to think about them before spending that kind of money on them. Don't forget, Amazon only has a 1-day cookie, so it will be very easy to lose those commissions that way.
These products are so niche, you'll probably have to join several programs and find a few products on each. I saw a great lens set on Bonanza.com (6% commission/3 day cookie), Casetify.com has custom phone cases (10.5% commission/45 day cookie). Wordery has plenty of photography books (2-5% commission/30 day cookie). All are available on Awin.com.
