What's in a name?
When I setup my website about a month ago, my preference would have been to go with a .com domain, but I had decided that I was going to be my brand and I wanted something with my name in it. Both robertboucher.com and rwboucher.com were already taken, so I decided to go with rwboucher.net.
For the first few weeks, when I would check to see if Google was indexing my site, most of the results returned would be from the rwboucher.com domain. That is slowly shifting though and now when I check, all the results but one are from my website.
More importantly, when I search for just rwboucher, while rwboucher.com still has the first 3 spots, my website is now in position number five, right behind my Twitter profile.
Progress is definitely happening. I just have to remember to remain persistent.
Wishing everyone a very successful week ahead.
Take care,
Robert

Hi Robert, that is great, hope you know you need to check-up your results in incognito mode?
Thanks for the tip. I did not know that. Tried in incognito mode and getting the same results - except this blog post has now made the first page for rwboucher as well!
Well done!
