I'm having trouble settling on a niche and live in Melbourne Australia, would it be more beneficial to have Australian web address or USA as Australia is my stomping ground
HI
It is recommended to always go for a dot com domain, however if you are planning to promote locally, you may go with a dot com dot au domain.
However, it has to be registered elsewhere, and pointed to WA servers. WA do not support AU TLDs so you maintain your domain elsewhere while pointed it here to take advantage of the hosting that comes with your subscription.
Hope this helps.

I would go with a dot com if possible. It's Global and depending on what you are promoting you can catch sales worldwide. If its just a particular country, you could lose potential sales.
Just my opinion

Thx Mel I did think that the population even in the USA was a big market group so thx for your reply
You are most welcome Russell! As part of my businesses, I also sell books written in English and they have sold throughout the world. No need making our niche any narrower than it has to be.
You'll have Australians living everywhere as well as people from other countries. My business is based in the USA, but I live in the Philippines.
