My First Week with WA
Hello WA Family!
I just wanted to share my experience with my first week with WA, just to get it out of my system haha π
In reality, it's only been 5 days because my 9-5 has been super chaotic, turns out everyone wants to book a holiday at the moment... π«
But, nonetheless, I've been at WA the last 2 weekends and I think I have felt every emotion:
- Excitement: the idea of being able to move away from the 9-5 and discovering a platform that is helping me build this from the ground up, my excitement is uncontainable!
- Fear: as much as I've wanted to start my online business and find something that helps me build a passive income, WA is helping me build a legit online business, and that scares me... I've never been great at writing content, this isn't my strong point... but here we are!π
- Frustration: I have very much realised I am a perfectionist, and the idea of posting something that is OK, or is OK for now, gets under my skin haha. I think I've rewritten my 2 post about 6 times π it's definitely something I need to work on, but I guess it's a positive I'm aware of it.
- Hope: I've changed careers so many times, I'm the literal definition of "jack of all trades, master of none". I've been a travel agent for a year now and I remember my first week was so overwhelming! Our flight booking system is coded, and I remember thinking I'll never know how to do this... yet here I am, a year later and creating complicated itineries! So I am hopeful that over the next few weeks, things will keep sinking in, everything will start making sense, and I'll start kicking this online business is the arse ππ
Anyway, just a little from me! If you haven't reached out, I'd love to hear from you! Let me know if you've had a better experience or just the same mix of emotions!
Love Bec! ππ

I don't always follow my own advice Rebecca, in fact I am notorious for it, but I have found the best times to write are those times when you are not forcing yourself to write.
Like you, I have a ton of distractions throughout the day, and sometimes during those distractions some good thoughts will formulate.
So, keep a pen and notebook handy, without them you will be bugging your memory trying to keep those "good ideas" front and center of your mind, which distracts you from doing what ever else you are supposed to be doing!
And, the boss may not be happy with you being away with the fairies.
The other benefit is once you have jotted down those initial thoughts, you can add to them during the day...
They maybe just be a collection of incoherent ideas, but still, they are things you should be able to work with.
Michael.
Hey Mick,
That's such an awesome idea, thanks for the advice!
I'm definitely someone who has a lot of my mind and gets distracted easily, the best ideas seem to happen when you're laying in bed at 2am or at work when you should be doing something else π
Was awesome to hear from you, I appreciate you reaching out π
Keep up the great work, Rebecca! Be excited about everything you can absorb and learn. Itβs a great time to be a part of WA and thereβs so much coming in the future as well. πππΌπ―
Thanks Eric! π Super exited to hear about whats coming... I hope to hear more soon ππ
Wow, Bec! Sounds like you have gotten off to a good start testing the waters! Very well done!

Hi Bec
Great update and thanks for sharing. I think most at WA will relate to the rollercoater of emotions in the early days. I know I certainly do.
The key is to stick with it, be consistent around the time you have away from the 9-5.
Don't give up. Stay focused. Keep reflecting on your progress and adjust where needed for your path to success.
Keep going. I look forward to hearing of your progress.
All the best
Tracy
Hey Tracy!
I'm glad I'm not the only one on this rollercoatser π thanks for reaching out and your kind words π₯°
All the best to you too! ππ

Rebecca, your blog post took me back to when I first started in WA over 4 years ago.
I experienced all those emotions and thoughts.
GOOD NEWS - they become more manageable over time.
BAD NEWS - some like fear, may never really go away because you are always learning and trying new things to grow and scale your business.
But, your attitude and approach are on point.
Keep them close and keep moving forward.
You have all the support you need. π
