The key is to not overthink it. Just choose something you have a genuine interest in. That's it. This places you directly in the audience you're targeting and makes it that much easier to write quality content. Nothing more to it :)

There is enough help here on WA on this part. Many of us help beginners every day.
But if you create a website that focuses on that part of our business, it can work. There are some successful websites that publish content on how to choose your niche.
It can be difficult to narrow it down, If its something you love, I think its better, because its easier to write about and the passion comes through.

True - a niche can be anything, but to be successful in a niche, it must be something you believe in, participate in and enjoy. If you don't believe in it, it will fail...100%! If you don't participate in in you will not be believable. If you don't enjoy it you will quickly tire of it.
Find something that fills the bill and go for it!

Hello Dr. R and welcome to WA. I found that deciding on a niche was the easiest part of this whole business. The next easier thing was writing about it. All the stumbling blocks came tumbling in after those decisions were made.
The reason I bang my head against a wall everyday is that eventually I hope to get a monetary return for all my efforts.
And I like the idea of giving someone else a little help through my writing.
