To Be Perfectly Frank With You!
When I first joined the Wealthy Affiliate platform, which is now over 10 years ago, I joined for the up-to-date training. Although I was already making money online, it’s great to be part of a platform that has up-to-date training that is available 365 days a year. I also like the idea of being around like-minded people who are creating or already have an online business.
Something that I probably underestimated was the power of the community. Over the years, I have met some fantastic people on the Wealthy Affiliate platform. As I mentioned, I came here for the training, not to particularly chat with people, however, there is power in mixing with like-minded people, as we can all learn from each other.
I find it amazing that I come from a village in East Anglia in the UK, but through using the power of the Internet, I can chat and communicate with like-minded people across the world! How fantastic is that?!
I have met some really wonderful people on the platform and one of these people has been Frank, who I know that many of you will know. Frank has been very active on the platform and he has been one of those members who has often responded to my blog posts and questions. It’s always good to be thankful for members who communicate on the platform and take time to answer questions and to respond to other members, etc.
Sadly, Frank is moving on, I have tried to persuade him in fun to stay on the platform, but I know that he has various plans for his retirement, especially his guitars! Let’s be grateful and thankful for the many members on the platform who have responded to blog posts and questions and helped to make the community what it is today.

I have had many conversations with Frank when he has responded to my blog posts and vice versa! Often, our conversations have completely digressed from the original topic, but it’s still good to chat with like-minded people.
I believe Frank leaves the platform on Sunday, 22nd December, so don’t forget to wish Frank well. Let’s be thankful for the present members and the members that have been here and moved on and for new members that arrive on the platform. I also know that quite a few successful members here have created their online business and moved on, not because they wanted to, just because they are so busy with their online business. Sometimes we have seasons or chapters in our life where it's just time to move on, but we can be thankful for those good times.
To Conclude
So, to conclude, we should make the most of the community’s members and be thankful for their input and all the help they have given over the years. We should also make the most of the Wealthy Affiliate platform, learning and taking action at the same time. Incidentally, Frank does not know that I have written this, so I hope it’s okay.

Well, this is my second message, as my computer ate the first one. Thanks so much for letting us know about Frank -- yes, many of us, including me, will miss him.
It's so good to meet fine people on here, and far too often we have to tell them goodbye. It's the only downside of our fine community. I know that wherever Frank is, the music will be playing, and he will be sharing the sounds with as many as he can.

I had planned to publish a "farewell" post on Wednesday, and I still will.
I will be fully retired from medicine next month, and I'm working to close down my consulting businesses in biomedical engineering and healthcare informatics in the first quarter of 2025. Actually, I'll still be seeing patients as a volunteer at the local free medical clinic one day a month while they're working to find another physician to replace me.
As you said, I have so many wonderful things to do with the remainder of my life, and I thank God that I'm still very healthy and capable of doing them all at 70 years old.
I'm hoping to enjoy each day with my family, friends, and music for another 15 or even 20 years, but we are all given a limited amount of time on this planet. And remember, what's more important than our time here is what we do to make it a better place for others!
The WA community is second to none, and I love the way the platform is transforming to keep up with all the changes in online marketing! 👍

I came to WA for the same reason you did, training. And like you, I found the community a very pleasant surprise in many ways!
Although I've only been here for a little over a year, Frank and I connected on a "guitar" level and have had many musical discussions. He will be greatly missed for sure and I am very thankful for finding the WA platform and the entire community. 🤘

It's interesting that different people came to the platform for different reasons, some for the hosting, others for the community and people like you and me, Tim, for the training. However, it's great to have such a helpful and friendly community; I don't know any other forums that are as friendly as the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

I do understand where you're coming from, Frank, but I mean that in a good way!
I remember working with a lad in the village many years ago, he was absolutely obsessed with his guitar and everything that went with it! He was actually a very good guitarist, but his enthusiasm and obsession were absolutely amazing. If you tried to talk about anything different, it quickly came back around to the guitar!!
I do kind of like the enthusiasm that these people have, especially when it's music, as I can relate to the subject. It would be different if it were football or Wendyball, as it is sometimes known here in the UK. Not being a football fan, I wouldn't be able to relate to the subject at all!

Yeah, I’m that way too, but I try to direct it to music enthusiasts.
The majority of posts I wrote on WA (hundreds of them) were about music, but that was my niche, not MMO.
All my professional training is in science, so I can also speak enthusiastically to those kinds of people, too.
I have always meant to get formal musical training, but ended up with degrees in chemistry, biomedical engineering, medicine, and healthcare informatics instead! Lol 😆
Now that I’m retired, I might do the online degree in guitar performance at the Berkeley College Of Music. I’ll have to see what my wife thinks about that. Hahaha
She’s a real doll, so the prospect is good. 😎

I think it's good to mix with people who are passionate about the same thing.
It's good to have proper training, but I do think you really understand music in quite a deep way. My guess is that if you do carry out a music degree, you will fly through, because it's so natural to you.

A lot of good friends have moved on from the platform in recent times sadly...

I believe that many of us are going to miss Frank, he's been a great contributor to the platform over the last few years.
It does seem that quite a few people have moved on recently. I must admit that I really like the idea of having training that I can refer to and being around like-minded people. I believe the cost of Wealthy Affiliate works out at around £1.20 per day for me, which is pretty reasonable. I definitely think it's worth it.
That's great that you keep in touch with many of the people who have moved on, Nick. It's amazing how the majority of us have never met the members of Wealthy Affiliate, and yet it feels like we really know them well through communicating with them on the platform.

I have been self-employed since 1983, some very aware that sometimes we have to invest in equipment or training programs to grow. Wealthy Affiliate is a fine example of this, so I fully agree that it is a bargain and offers great value.
That's a great thing to do, Nick, I must admit I haven't been quite so good at keeping in touch with past members. Maybe it's something that I ought to do.
I hope that your flight goes well, Nick, at least it's not too far to the UK. Are you in the UK for Christmas? I hope that you have a great Christmas and are able to take some time out.
