The Importance Of Keeping Busy And Motivated!
Recently I was reminded about the importance of keeping busy and motivated. I appreciate that we need to be the right type of busy, not just running around for the sake of it!
Last week I was carrying out a job for a customer and as usual, we got talking. He was telling me that he had been in IT all his life and had taken a break from work and was just staying at home. Fortunately, he had a wife who is currently working full-time, which is helpful. I asked him if he was concerned about not having a job and she said that he just wanted to have a break from working. Allegedly, he will eventually find another job, although I am not quite so sure about that!
This reminded me of the importance of keeping busy and motivated! As soon as the customer answered the door I could see that there was no motivation and drive to get things done! I think many of us would all like to take a break, it seems like a great idea. However, it's important that we have a plan and don't procrastinate.
I appreciate that there is a balance between working hard and having enough rest. When we are motivated it's so much easier to carry out work efficiently and with zest. What I saw with this customer was that he had really lost his drive and motivation. I could see that everything he was doing had become an effort and hard work. I do think it's very easy to become lazy if we are not careful. I know full well that if I am motivated, I can get things done quickly and efficiently. However, if I have too many late nights, the work rate and motivation can drop dramatically, not clever at all and something that I try and avoid!
The reason that I have written the above is the importance of having a plan and being motivated to push forward. Do you have a plan for your business, do you get up early and get on top of things first thing in the morning?
We need to remember that we are creating an online business is not just for fun but to create a long-term and successful business. Having said that, it's important that we enjoy the journey! Make sure you are doing everything you can to push forward with your online business. Keep away from negative people, start early and stay positive! Very motivating post Roy, however, in my case when I reach a bumpy area, and cannot figure it out, I just stop; I know that’s not the right approach to take, but that is what I do.
My thing is, I do wish I have someone that have this type of interest to work online as an affiliate and know lots more than I do so we could work along side with each other where in which I do believe I would grasp thing much better.

I think we can all have a tendency when things get a bit bumpy to potentially stop! However, we need to get over the bumps and come out on the smooth side!
I remember what it was like when I first started out 18 years ago online. I could see the power and the potential of the Internet and yet I just didn't though what to do. I ended up purchasing a lot of poor spam type products, it was hard work!
The great thing is with Wealthy Affiliate we can ask a question when we get stuck. So for example, when we are going through the training and there is something we do not understand we can simply leave a question.
I know what you're saying about having people with more experience to work with. The problem with this is that it's time-consuming. This is where the forum and asking a question on Wealthy Affiliate can be so useful. Or even the live chat I believe many questions are answered. Although I have been working online for some time, I will often refer to the training as sometimes I forget things.

I am alive on my end, and for that, I am grateful! A lot of unsavory activities are taking up my valuable time, but it is what it is, and I will persevere through each new day the God gives me, and with His help, I will succeed!

Although I do work many more hours than 40 hours a week on my business, I am at that happy place where I can pause/stop anytime I like. But you are right also it can be harder to get going again if that time away from work gets to be too long, Roy.
It's been almost 8 years since I left the "9 to 5 job".

I hope you're doing well. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to my blog post.
One of the great things about an online business is that we can choose when to work. The majority of us who work online do not have any travelling expenses or time lost with travelling. So therefore it makes it considerably easier to do more than 40 hours a week.
My off-line business has been busy for several weeks, so I actually find it hard to get back into writing blog posts again! I think that's due to busyness rather than laziness!
That's fantastic that you have been working online full-time for almost 8 years, well done! It's always good to hear a success story where people have turned their life around. I appreciate that it takes a lot of effort to get that far!

It took a divorce to make it happen. Then working 24/7 online and offline for 2 years and then I moved to the Philippines.
I look back and it still seems amazing to have done it. Now things are going well and we just keep building on the work we have done before. :-)

Hi Roy,
I find there are many critical reasons to stay motivated and sleep busy doing productive tasks.
When laziness sets in, we lose momentum, Like a train, it takes so much effort to get it moving again it is easy to not make the effort.
Once momentum is lost it is much harder to get back into action,
