Don't Expect To Make Money Instantly Go For The Long Haul!
I thought I would write this blog post as I think far too many people are giving up their online business far too quickly. I was also inspired to write this blog post after reading Roope's latest post, you can see the post below.

I don't know why, but for some reason people seem to think that an online business is a quick way to make money and to get rich quick. The good news is that you can make money and potentially a lot of money. However, everything takes time and a web business takes a lot of hard work before you actually see any results. I don't know of any business whether it's online or off-line that doesn't require hard work!
I Want To Encourage You
I see so many people starting an online business full of enthusiasm and excitement and yet after a few months they have lost their dream! I want to encourage you to stop looking at stats and how much money your AdSense account has made. The figures will be so low it's almost discouraging in the early days. I best suggestion to you is just to keep following the training and taking action. Be aware that it normally takes at least six months to a year and longer depending on how much time you have available. Also remember that a year goes by very quickly, so if you can keep writing and grow your website, you will be successful quicker than you can imagine.

More Good Things To Encourage You
I learnt the hard way to make money online, it took me three years to get my first moneymaking website up and running. I was also working blind buying into different scams trying to work out how to make money online, if only I knew about Wealthy Affiliate back in 2004!
With Wealthy Affiliate you can have your website up within minutes, which I find utterly amazing!
I actually made a sale with my first moneymaking website within 24 hours, it doesn't always work like this! I had already added some content before the site went live!
I have had many ups and downs in business having been self-employed since 1983. One thing is for sure though, we have to keep moving forward whatever happens. Make sure you have positive people around you and get rid of any negative people, they don't help you!
At the end of 2016 I set up a new off-line business, within seven months the business was reaching five figures a month. I could not have done this without utilising the power of the Internet. I know that if I can achieve these figures you can too.
I have had $1000 days and zero dollars days online, don't be discouraged, just keep moving forward!

Remember that blog post that you are writing today may make you money in several years time, especially if you post regularly.
Despite all the problems in the world we live in great times with great opportunities. I always look at the Internet as the businessman's best friend.

Thanks Roy, we should not give up if we want to make something happen for our lives. I quit twice and I started with WA back in 2008 but I gave up too soon, but now I'm back for good and I'm not getting off this train until I reach my destination.

Thanks Roy, and you have touched on some key points here that will help anyone who reads this and wants to do better.
Like you mention, old sites and old posts will keep producing for years to come - and potentially forever.
I just finished checking some of my stuff online and Google is pulling up posts and content that I wrote years ago - and much of it so now ranking consistenly on page one.
Each article, post or other content is like a digital real estate investment of sorts... and while in the begining things move slowly it all begins to add up over time.
Time is coming either way - so why not make use of it!

I find it amazing that something we write today can still be producing an income five years plus down the line. It's good to look at the bigger picture rather than expecting things instantly.
It's great that you have posts that are still ranking well several years down the line. This is one of the great benefits of an Internet business.
Even a website that is only producing small amounts of money, the amounts can add up over the months.
Time goes so quickly, it is so important to make the best use of time.

I don't think the majority of people realise what goes into creating a business whether it's online or offline. It's very easy to look at people and think that grass is greener on the other side, in general, people work very hard to get a business going. As you mentioned Ray, it is a big commitment.
