Almost Daily Sales From An Unused Website!
I would just like to encourage people who may be finding it difficult to make their first sale.
Over the years I have ended up with quite a few websites, some more active than others. The problem is with having too many websites is being able to add content regularly, especially as I have an off-line business that keeps me busy.
The particular website that I am referring to is around six years old. In the beginning I added lots of content to try and gain sales quickly. However, I have other websites that I am working on so this site was almost abandoned. I guess I haven't added any content for 3 to 4 years.
However, the good news is that this website is still making money almost on a daily basis!
Maybe you are struggling to make your first sale, just remember that it takes time and hard work with a new website. The good news is that you may not be making any sales at the moment, but three or four years down the line your content will still be online.
It takes time to add content and products to a website, be patient, go through the training, take action and you will make money.
Thank you for reading.

An excellent reminder that good quality evergreen content will always have the potential to come up with the goods Roy.
It should serve as encouragement to others that creating that good quality content in the first place is how to ensure long term "residual" type income.
Thanks for the reminder Roy and have a great weekend!

Thank you for taking the time to comment Mark, it's appreciated.
The power of the Internet never fails to amaze me, it's great that we can have a "residual" income over a period of time. It's also amazing how the money mounts up.
Have a great weekend.

Thank you for the encouraging blog. We tend to lose hope after a few bogs, but patience is key.
Hello Edgar,
Thank you for your reply. Please don't lose heart, I have been working online since 2007, although I do also have an off-line business. What I do know is that it takes time to build a business whether it's online or offline.
It's tempting to keep looking at stats and seeing if you've made a sale. However, the best thing we can do is to keep writing about our niche, it works, I've tried it!
Have a good weekend.

I would like to have a hundred of that kind of domant site. Has it always been this consistent or it it just start picking up out of the blue? Maybe google changed a portion or the algorithm code to value earlier models based on their earlier good rankings.
I made that up but it could be true. Only Google knows
Hello Neil,
Thank you for reading my blog post, it's appreciated.
That is the amazing thing about the Internet, you don't need many websites to earn a full-time living online. Having said this I still have an off-line business that keeps me busy, however, I do enjoy it!
I don't know if it's Google or just the fact that the website is established. I have actually put new websites up with some content and done very little and actually made sales, which kind of amazes me.
I believe the best thing that we can do is to follow the training and keep building our business. Every business takes time whether it's offline or online!
Wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much. This post is very encouraging. I am in fact in a situation where I almost lose my confidence to keep going because I haven't made any sales yet, but then again, my website is less than 3 months old. I just have to keep going even though I sometimes think that the niche I chose is not popular.
Hello Ferra,
Thank you for being honest and responding to my blog post.
I had a quick look at your profile and noticed you have only been a member of Wealthy Affiliate since February 2020. In the best possible way, this is a very short time.
Most of the experts estimate that it takes six months to 2 years to really get a website going. Now, obviously this does depend on how much time you have to build your business. The more time you have the quicker you can build your business.
I have actually built websites and made sales a few days later, however, this probably isn't normal!
Are you going through the training step-by-step? My recommendation would be to go through the training, try not to look at stats or to expect to make money immediately. Just keep taking action and you will eventually see results.
Wishing you a really good day.
