Neighbors: A Sad Story and a Happy One
I've been very distracted by a situation a family of our near neighbors are in. I'll just say that their arguments have escalated to really bad, and we can't help but be aware of a lot of it. We see police cars and ambulances sometimes.
On the other hand, today my husband was outside chatting with a couple who were on the street above our backyard. I couldn't see them so I went out to see who it was. They immediately said hello, very warmly, but the light was behind them and I had no idea who they were until they told me their names. They live a few blocks away and we have had several potlucks with them. Due to the coronavirus, I don't walk that way so it has been a long time since we had the pleasure of connecting. So we had a nice catching up visit today.
The difficult situation has cut down on my work, but now I'm determined to get back into a lot more blogging. Happily, our home office doesn't get the sounds I want to avoid.
Ah, life!

Good neighbors really make like pleasant. My wife and I have been very fortunate over the years. The very worst neighbors we had basically ignored us most of the time.
Our neighborhood has difficulties also, Candace is a cancer, so when the time is right, we go out and howl at the Moon, I can howl much louder than her, but I like to make a spectacle of myself.

Neighbors CAN be distracting. I have to tell Eugene to quiet down all the time!!!! LOL!!!! I have one that loves what I call "head bangin'" music. It DOES make my head bang with a headache. Fortunately it's not that often. Neighbors ARE important and they're the luck of the draw.
