I have not gotten into making videos--yet, anyway. But I will say that when viewing videos, I prefer the shorter ones because I lose interest too quickly. Plus, it depends on the type of video. If it is just a short informational video, I prefer only about 10, maybe 15 minutes. If it is an instructional video, then I like them longer, as long as they are well done. For example, I have seen long videos that may be an hour long, but they repeat the same information; they just word it differently. I lose interest quickly.

I have found that my attention span is good for 5 to 8 minutes when just browsing.
Educational videos can hold my attention longer.

I don't watcy YouTube videos unless I'm looking for a specific subject. Then I look at the video to see if it covers the info that I want. I really don't enjoy watching videos and ignore them as often as possible.

The YouTube videos I usually watch are medium or long form, but that's not a matter of preference, it's just that most of what I'm interested in takes medium or long form to present or describe.
