Tucker & Trump Made a New WORLD Record?
This post is not about politics but about media and marketing. Something that almost all of us Wealthy Affiliate members are doing.
Tucker published an interview of Trump less than 24 hours ago on X (previous Twitter).
It has received over 243 MILLION views when I'm writing this.
That's over 10 million views PER HOUR during the first day.
As far as I know, that's easily the most-viewed interview of all time.
At the same time, Fox News (a legacy media) published a debate that received much, much, much less views.
Is the Legacy Media Dying?
Twitter / X has been making new records in the last few months after the Elon Musk's takeover. This is just one example of that.
YouTube has more popular than TV already for quite a while.
Talking heads and celebrities are saying the following,
"You don't anymore go to TV for the views. You go to TV so that you can publish the clip on YouTube and on your social media channels to get the views."
I don't know about you but I watch TV perhaps once in a few years.

Hi Roope. Great post. Great advice. Right now, this is my platform, Wealthy Affiliate. I'm practicing for the big time. LOL. Actually, I am doing Kyle' PPC challenge and determined to learn Google, and hopefully make it pay. One day I hope to follow your footsteps in YouTube. Yesterday, I signed up to X as I would like to explore the short video path. I will soon watch your series.
Thank you. See you in school.
Hi Roope,
I think one huge factor that has to be weighed in here on the Tucker verses Fox narrative is Fox has been destroying their brand, which Tucker basically became once O'reilly was escorted out.
I learned a similar lesson years ago in self publishing in a series I was doing. Started off great, was real raw and gritty. Then I got this harebrained idea to add supernatural to it and let me tell you, I discovered just how quickly one can destroy a brand, hah hah. The reviews were absolutely brutal.
Getting back to Tucker, he was their most watched show, and when they pushed him out (right or wrong) he took that audience with him which was a huge segment.
Regards
Jason
This isn't true though!
Views on X/Twitter are not real views, they are impressions and not even unique impressions.
250 million could have seen the video appear on their stream, and simply scroll on by and it still counts. Some people could have done this several times and it counts EACH time.
So while your post has a valid point, it's not quite as valid as you imagine.
Good morning Roope,
I hope you're doing well. Thank you for your blog post.
Some very interesting facts there, Roope! I just checked out the interview on Twitter, although I haven't watched it yet, but I do want to! It now has 250 million views!
I believe that the mainstream media is dying, many people are realising that it cannot be trusted, as so much is just propaganda.
I have never been a big fan of TV, but like you, Roope, I don't know when I last watched television, a long time ago! I'm thankful that we live in an age where we have the Internet; it's such a great resource.
I listen to a terrific amount of YouTube when I'm working on my offline business. I also listen to Rumble. Most of the people who are using Rumble would be on YouTube, but they were forced to move to Rumble as they didn't suit YouTube's narrative!
I publish most of my content to my websites, but will embed a YouTube video within the content.
As for social media, I use mainly Twitter and LinkedIn. I believe that Twitter will become huge. However, I have always liked the ease of Twitter. LinkedIn is a great platform for professionals and I believe it's highly underestimated!
Have a great day.
Roy

I don't often reply to posts lately, although I read some of them, but this one is worth my time.
What we are talking about here is called sheep mentality. People in this society are unable to be individuals. Individuality has mostly died sometime before the Crucifixion, and the media and social media have taken advantage of that.
People don't do things because they want to but because others do (followers); they don't buy things because they need them but because others do. They don't wear things because they want to but because others do (fashion). People don't vote for someone because they know he is the right person but because others do (mob mind).
Humans stopped being intelligent long ago (if they ever have been) as a collective, a community and acted precisely like animals on many occasions. You always worry about what others might think; you hate to be alone, you want to belong to a certain group, and you want to be social, creating the herd mentality people like Trump can easily control.
It certainly makes it easy for those working in marketing or politics because all you need to do is find that certain mob and get them hooked to the point that the value of facts and independent consideration completely disappears and sheep mentality takes over. All you have left to do is keep that same bell ringing.
I never liked social media or TV, but my most used platform was Twitter before Musk took it over and let Trump back in. Now, I don't use them. I have accounts with many, but they are just sitting there. I know they are effective tools, but I just don't want to be one of the bell ringers. I am wired differently.
I don't get what you you have against Trump. I guess I thought you were the bell ringers.
I use my own judgment, and I don't support criminals. Besides, my comment was about herd mentality. Trump just knows how to take advantage of that. He is an influencer and a negative, inciting one at that.
