The content you create can pay you dividends for YEARS to come!
One thing I love about building an online business that I know that all the work you do builds on top of each other.
The work you have done yesterday will help you today.
Let me give you 3 simple examples from my own life.
1st example
I wrote a review on my site language learning site in July 2017.
Soon after that I abandoned that language learning site and started focusing my main website.
That review didn't make me any money for probably half a year.
But then it started bringing me some small income every now and then...
Now that one article has made me +$350 and that amount adds up even though I haven't updated that article even once. (Probably I should have, lol!)
2nd example
Then there was another article that I wrote in 2017. Again, no income for several months from that article.
Then I got the first commission...
Second commission...
Third commission...
And now it has brought me +$1,500 in commissions.
3rd example
Then in 2018 I spent 1 day to write a comprehensive review and create a video of one company.
That made me $0 commissions in 2018 (maybe some ad income).
I haven't update the article and a video at all...
Then in 2019 they brought me +$700 in commissions (and hopefully another $700 passive income in 2020).
Moral of the Story
In ALL of those 3 examples I didn't earn ANY commissions from those articles for several months.
I didn't see any results for my work regasrding those articles.
Someone could have said that I did that work in vain.
Well... I just kept those 3 articles online and now they've generated me +$2,000 in total.
And they will probably keep on generating me commissions for years to come.
Now of course $2,000 is not a lot of money. But the point is this:
When building your online business, the work you do today will pay you dividends for months and years to come.
Think about that...
Millions of $$$ Lost?
I have seen A LOT of people closing their websites before they earned any money from them.
They've built a nice website, written helpful content and several reviews.
And then they didn't get immediate results.
They get disappointed. No commissions for several months.
They close their website and forget this "online business" thing.
Now I just imagine...
What if those people just would have kept their websites online?
How much money in total all those people have missed just because they closed their websites?
That must be a huge number if you add all those websites (and opportunities) that they've closed in total.
Just think about it... Those 3 articles on my site made me +$2,000. Then add all the other articles...
Don't quit my friend.

Very helpful information, we need to make sure that our websites are live even when we have sort of like given up. I love the image where can I get it? I have searched for this image so I can use it on my posts but I can’t find it.
Yes, I have seen it in many places too but when I search for it I only find it in the premium image websites, in other words where I have to purchase it. I want to use it on a post on my website.
Your article definitely gives me hope. I started at WA last year in March. I have not made money with my websites yet, but I never thought of giving up. I am focused on continuing to build my websites and generate more traffic. It will all come in due time.
I keep on writing my lists of daily goals too, and that helps me to stay on top of things.
Yeah, never give up Christine and make constant improvements / changes in your site if necessary as you move forwardd.

This is my attitude now although I remember closing down a website with beneficial information 🤦🏽♂️ Now I laugh and use this for motivation and found several ways to multiply my production. This was really inspirational. I had a website here at WA back in 2017 but I stopped do anything with it in June of 2018.
I achieved ranking and traffic, but just kind of got distracted and it wasn't a priority. I think it might have been too broad, and I might of got overwhelmed, but now I'm back and specified a niche website that is not too broad.
I redid a lot of the content on my old site, because my niches are similar.

Considering it is usually less than $20 a year to keep a website live, I am amazed whyanyone would close their site down. Especially the ones that have even a minimal amount of posts and content. Thanks for the reminder that everything we add to the web and our blogs has a possibility of contributing to income in the furture.
