I RECOVERED the TikTok Account with 50,000+ Followers!
If you've read my previous posts here, you heard that my TikTok account with 50,000+ engaged followers got banned without any good reason.
I was hopeful at first that I'll get it back...
But after waiting for over a week, I started losing the hope of getting it back. I was already 90% sure that it will not be recovered.
I had seen several YouTube videos that people got their TikTok accounts banned without any valid reasons. And all the videos that I saw explained that they recovered their account in 3-6 days...
After 5 Days: "Your Account Will Remain Permanently Banned"
I even received a message from TikTok that said,
"Thanks for contacting TikTok.
We understand how important your account is to you. After further review, your account will remain permanently banned due to a violation of our - Violent Extremism Policy."
I was like... WHAAAT? :D
My account has never, ever violated that rule for 110% sure.
Therefore, I sent them more requests to recover my account.
After 8 Days: Account RECOVERED!
Someone sent me a message on WhatsApp, "Hey! It seems your TikTok account is recovered!"
I logged in to TikTok and I saw the following message:
Now there is a lot of momentum and this is one of the hottest topics in the Finnish-speaking TikTok.
I'm really glad the account was recovered!
2 Lessons from This Experience
1) Don't put too much effort into your TikTok account because it may be permanently banned without any good reason.
2) Keep on sending messages to the support if your account gets banned.
The same applies to other platforms to some extent.
Your accounts may be banned without any good reason.
....
However, I think YouTube is one of the safest platforms in this regard. YouTube has been around for 16+ years and it's the most stable one.
There is a really strong reason if someone gets banned from YouTube.
On top of that, even if your account would be hacked, it can be usually recovered. I've seen 2 big channels getting hacked on YouTube but those were recovered and now they're stronger than ever before.
But of course, YouTube can also change the rules also so you should never be too dependent on one platform

Good afternoon Roope,
I'm really pleased that you have your TikTok account back and up and running again. I understand why you were thinking that it was banned for good! I have heard all sorts of horror stories regarding social media accounts! I can't imagine you putting anything up that is offensive Roope.
It does seem in these cases that big tech can do what it once, especially if it doesn't suit their narrative!
As for YouTube being safe, or fairly safe, I don't believe that any social media account is safe, especially at the moment. I am subscribed to quite a few YouTube channels and just in the last few months, I have seen quite a few videos that have been taken down. Most of these are due to the Christian content as it doesn't suit YouTube's narrative!
Once again it just shows how important our own website is. It's great to use social media, however, it's great to have our own platform too.

Regarding the channels, it wasn't actually to channels being taken down although I know that David Ike's channel was taken down some time ago as they did not agree with his narrative on the coronavirus.
I was more thinking about channels that have had videos removed, these are mainly Christian or political channels which include;

Congratulations. I do not have a Tik Tok account yet, but I do have products that have been banned from Facebook for a "violation of their policy". I have tried reading the policies in question and they are so broad that saying the product was healthy could get you banned. It is very frustrating.
I will keep trying as you say and hopefully I will figure it out.

If I'd want to get 1M followers on TikTok, I'll need to start producing content in English because there are not so many Finnish-speaking users on TikTok yet :D
I think around 150k would be maximum for the Finnish-speaking audience at the moment.

Hi Roope,
My Pinterest account was “deactivated” twice. Both times required a lot of time and effort to rectify. I tried to discover the nature of the problem so I would not repeat the error. They finally admitted that it was a “mixup” on their end both times.
Pinterest was driving traffic to my site but I barely pin anything now.
My site ranks well for its age and so I’d rather use the social media time to write extra content, which I know won’t be banned or deactivated.
I will return to it at some point when I have more time to invest because I do understand its great potential.
