Do YOU Reward Yourself?

I'm just curious to know...

Do you reward yourself, for example, after hitting a milestone or achieving a certain result?

Then a few other questions:

If you don't do that, why not?

If you do reward yourself, how do you do it?

And then...

Have you noticed the benefits of doing that?

I've seen several people teaching about that saying it helps to achieve goals more easily.

But at the same time, I must admit that I've not been really good at rewarding myself usually. When I've set a goal with a reward, I usually just think, "Naah, I don't need any reward. The best reward is just to reach another goal." But I'm not sure if that's the best approach.

I'm just sincerely interested in hearing your thoughts and experiences! 😊

Good morning Roope,

I hope you're doing well and business is good.

This is a very good question Roope, this is something I don't particularly do, however, I do think it's a great thing to do!

I believe that rewarding ourselves can encourage each of us to move forward. Let me give you an example, about 10 months ago I purchased a new Dell Precision desktop PC, which was something that I wanted for a long time. By purchasing something that I really wanted encouraged me to work harder and take full advantage of my new toy! The three screens are a great bonus and make working more efficient.

Just a few thoughts have a great day.

I am just like you when it comes to rewarding myself after some success especially one that I consider trifle. I think we are wrong. Experts believe celebrating wins helps to engender more and even greater wins than the one celebrated.
So let's celebrate our wins so we can get more wins.

I agree Dada!

I'm always learning or searching to improve myself friend. For me, a successful goal needs to be celebrated and move on to the next chapter to reach a new goal setting. A reward for myself must be something I need not want, which will most likely be rare. All the best!

It is not something I do as I normally just get things when I need them, so I have never seen the purpose of setting out a reward scenario.

Looking at things recently I think I will start to do this as I have had some trouble reaching goals recently, so I do need to try something.

Alex

It's very important to celebrate and it does not have to be grandiose. It might just be celebrating with family or a friend a noteworthy accomplishment. It helps those in our inner circle understand us better and to share in what is important to us. If not to do it for us do it for them. And don't wait till it's too late to enjoy it all when you do.
Bless up
Roope

Good points Hugh!
