30,000 YouTube Subscribers Reached! (+Insights)

Yesterday I reached 30,000 YouTube subscribers on my channel Learn to Make Honest Money Online.

I wanted to celebrate it here together and share some thoughts regarding the YT progress.

Hopefully, it will also help you to get some insights on growing your channel.

Video Views from Subscribers vs Non-Subscribers

I remember when I started my YouTube channel over 95% of all the views came from people who weren't subscribed. That continued quite long.

Until March this year still around 85-89% of the views came from non-subscribers. However, I started focusing more on my channel and publishing daily.

Now around 35% of the views come from subscribers and 65% from non-subscribers.

Each subscriber is watching more videos nowadays on average than before.

Here are a couple of reasons for that:

• Video quality is higher.
• Videos provide valuable information.
  
• I've created a couple of playlists that subscribers have been watching more.
• My message is becoming more targeted towards subscribers instead of random viewers on YouTube. This still depends on the topic of each video a little
  

All these factors encourage subscribers to watch more than 1 video and it helps viewers to come back to your channel.

I feel it's also true what some YouTubers say that your subscribers become like a "big family". You really want your subscribers to do well and they want the same for you.

I'll Reach 100,000 YT Subscribers Latest in 2021

Since I've started putting more effort on my channel it's growing now at a good rate. At this rate, I'll easily reach 100,000 subscribers next year.

Of course, if something crazy happens it's still possible this year but at least next year... And after I'll reach 100,000 subscribers, reaching 1 million subs will be just a matter of time.

As you probably may already know, your growth accelerates usually on social media. No matter if we're talking about YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or even blogging traffic.

Once you get the initial boost, growing things will be easier. The beginning is always the hardest. This happens for several reasons:

=> You get data and numbers.
=> You see what resonates with your audience the best.
=> It's easier to create great content that people like.
=> People recommend it to their friends.
=> YouTube starts promoting your content more.

And your skills also get better over time quite naturally.

YouTube Channel Memberships

I've noticed that YouTube allows you to open up a "channel membership" once you reach 30,000 subscribers. I'm going to start testing this soon.

During the last days, I've been doing a little bit of research trying to find out if channels are using this. There are surprisingly many channels that don't use it.

However, the majority of the channels that I consider providing "YouTube growth advice" are using channel membership on their own channel.

I wanna become a "YouTube expert" so I'll definitely gonna test it so I can provide my own insights for anyone who might be interested in using that in their own channels.
