3 hour "fight" with YouTube Ads

I'd like to start spending money on YouTube Ads and this is what happened today:

  1. I called Google Ads support (same as YouTube ads).
  2. They tell me to go to support.google.com
  3. I go there and chat for 50 minutes with the support agent.
  4. He gives me Google Ads support number and tells me to call there.
  5. I call to Google Ads.
  6. They tell me to go to support.google.com
  7. I chat for another 30 minutes and they promise to connect me in the chat with the right department.

  8. Nothing happens.
  9. I call to Google Ads for the 4th or 5th time.
  10. She tells me to go to support.google.com.
  11. I explain the situation for 3-4 times.
  12. Finally she says that they'll investigate the issue and send me an email later.

-

In total this took 3 hours.

I explained my case to approximately 7 "support specialist", gave them the same information (website name, my name, Google Ads ID, etc.)

So far I this 3 hour thing didn't move forward the issue a single bit but hopefully it'll move forward once I receive an email from them.

Has anyone else managed to get support with Google / YouTube Ads?

I had another Google Ads account before where I used some ads (very little) but I always ran into technical problems so I didn't use it a lot.

Now I've set up a new account and I'm trying to get started.

Let's see how this goes...

I'm pretty determined to start using YouTube Ads now because I believe it would be a great opportunity.

PS. If you have any tips/experiences for getting support from Google/YouTube ads, please, let me know in the comments below! I'd appreciate it a lot.

Google, youtube, Facebook or any those platforms don't care about you unless you a a big time corporate customer spending a million dollars a day, If you were McDonald's, General Motors or Exxon you wouldn't have been treated like that.. It would have been, "Yes sir Mr. Roope, Anything I can do for you?"

Totally true, which is a shame. They are money oriented businesses vs community helpers.

I have multiples of everything But facebook ad notifications are persistent.

Sad to say I didn't know a Program was on the banned program list that Google doesn't publish for affiliate marketers. I have not been allowed to advertise with Google for 3 years because Apeals never gets back to you. I no longer have that business and am looking to promote my Local SEO business I started from Jay's excellent training with their competition now instead of potentiall spending tens of thousands of dollars with Google. Their lost for having the worst customer service of any fortune 500 company on the planet.

With their competition do you refer to Bing ads? I've been using that also because it's so much more flexible than Google ads.

But for YouTube ads I'd need to get this sorted with Google support

I am working with bing ads, doing free Facebook marketing, and will soon add Pinterest ads to the mix but not a lot to invest yet. TikTok shows promise too but I will probably focus on content-based native ads like Taboola first.

I've never tried but this is frustrating ridiculousness.

Hello Robert !

I dislike when they give you the "run around".

One tactic i like to use is to get and write down the names/departments of each individual you come in contact with.

Then, when they give you the "first run around", start asking to speak with someone higher up "in charge".

I have had some success with this, hope this helps.

Thanks Scott! That sounds good. I'm gonna try this!

Your welcome, Robert.

I have not had anything to do with youtube, but from what I know of you, you will have this sorted out in no time.
