Have you ever been bankrupt? good!

Now don't get me wrong – I would never recommend it.

Going bankrupt was one of the most traumatic times of my life ranking with the order to go 'FULL ASTERN!' during a dive, whilst on watch in a submarine, and a visit to Hiroshima, Japan.

I was like a bear with a sore head, after I went bankrupt, snapping at everyone and feeling utterly devoid of any self-confidence. I think it was about this time (my dear children have often reminded me!) that they used to cower in the back seat of the car when I wound down the window and bellowed “BLOODY IDIOT!” at anyone I thought was a bad driver.

A dear friend helped me out, giving me a job delivering tyres and consequently I spent a lot of time on my own and gradually mellowed and regained my moral. I was also blessed in, later, finding a well-paid job which included two and half years in Gibraltar that ensured I paid off all my debts, and that our family had a wonderful time in the Mediterranean.

OK I'll stop telling you part of my life story now! The point I want to make is that no matter how dark the situation seems there is always 'light at the end of the tunnel'. I believe that a large number of you have also had some bad times in your lives but it made you stronger and when you are down the only way is up!

This writer searched for many more opportunities to become self-employed over the years but although I tried many Multi-level-Marketing schemes I never enjoyed any success and had almost given up on my dream when along came, not one, but two interesting opportunities from two special friends who did not know each other. The second one was WA!

There are opportunities in life if you keep looking and learning. You have found WA and I believe that this is a wonderful way of ensuring our secure futures.

NOTE On reading this through it sounds a bit like an advertisement for WA but it was not written for that purpose – it was written to encourage anyone who may be struggling in their life.

Roger, your post is very encouraging. I'm in a situation now of going bankrupt because my wife decided to leave after 26 years being together. She left and took almost all of the furniture. We have a christian marriage of 22 years. I'm 61 and she tells me now I'm not the man for her. I didn't see this coming , but I am a surviver. I know that WA community will see me through. Plus I KNOW I have God on my side. It will all be fine I'm also a fan of Zig Ziglar

I have faced a few tough challenges over the years. When I look back I definitely see how they led me down different paths and better situations. Thank you for sharing your story.

Thanks for sharing. Your enthusiasm for WA shines through!
