How are people not taking advantage of this?
You know, I've been here for the last 10 1/2 months and I've seen a lot of people pass opportunities like this by because they want something quick and now. Ultimately, it is almost like people need to have visible proof that something works before they give it a try. I understand that people are, by nature, skeptical; I myself was once upon a time. However, I've learned and bore witness to the fact that Wealthy Affiliate works as long as people are willing to put in the work. I haven't made a single sale yet and I'm still working to get out in front of more people, but neither has stopped me from wanting to do more and be more into this business; this is the first business project that I've ever had and I enjoy it so much. So, to all of you out there who have doubts, put in the time and stay true to the Wealthy Affiliate path and before you will lie riches untold; that includes doing the training!
Also, I want to go on record as saying that another of my gaming articles got indexed on Google this morning. This has been happening a lot lately, I would do a post and not even 2 days later it gets indexed. I'm happy to say the least, but I can't help but feel like it's leading me to something greater; I get that feeling every time one of my articles get indexed.

Thanks Jess, it's easy to wake up and feel deserving of whatever you feel you're entitled to, but it feels even better when you've spent so much time working on your business and seeing it flourish before your very eyes. The payment notification that you get when someone buys from your website is the best motivational tool but the recognition more than does it for me, I work tirelessly to make my website my golden child with emphasis on "golden". I'm enjoying the ride.
So true! Encouragement is great, but seeing the fruits (even the small ones) of your labor is far more encouraging than any motivational poster :)

Thanks Jess, I'm giving it my all for this; I told an ex-mentor of mine a long time ago when he turned me on to the concept of affiliate marketing, I told him that "I' would die for this". I would too because there is no better way to make money online.

Thanks Jess, to be honest, I just noticed that I'm in the top 100; I haven't been on my computer since 9:30 last night. Thanks for the congrats, it, much like when I hit the top 200, hit me like a ton of bricks. Isn't it funny when you stop paying attention to the things you think matter and they just fall into place; like this for example.

Absolutely. I didn't used to be so "talkative" when I first started here because I never got to experience having a business relationship/friendship with people because I always felt that I was alone when it came to handling my business so it's nice to be a part of a community that love and help each other; no one is a rival to anyone especially since we're aspiring to the same goal.
Hi Rodney. Sometimes I honestly think some people really want this to be a get rich quick scheme. I've had people tell me that this is just too much effort. Too time-consuming. Excuse Me!? This is building a business that will last. This is work. Something we call all be proud of. But some people just don't want that. Thay want things just handed to them. So sad!

Yes indeed Wendi, I love getting that email saying another one of my articles got indexed. Also, you're right about that fact about people wanting to look at this as more of a get rich quick scheme; I've also talked to people about my business and they said the same thing "it's too much work" and for those who I did turn this on to, it seemed like they didn't seem all that interested in wanting to know more. I'm happy with the hard work that I've put in on my website and getting my face out there; this is a goal that I'm happy to be working toward.
It's not just in making money on line where people just don't seem to see what can be, I have a friend who wants to lose weight, I have sent her some information, but I still see her posting on FaceBook saying that she needs to lose some weight!!!!.
It's like they say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
I hear you loud and clear Bill, it's something we're slaving away our free time making our business as best as it can be and we know people who still choose to want to do it the hard way i.e. want to continue working for someone else and getting their paycheck handed to them. When I was self-employed and writing full time, I made my own money that went toward getting my kid something he needed. I have a job now where it is a lot of the same but I'm investing as much time during the week when I'm not at work getting my business up so the whole world can see it for what it is, a legitimate business that is going to make me money over and over.
Honestly, it's because the big "gurus" are doing nothing but promoting getting rich quick. I attended a webinar last night promoted by Dan Lok "The King Of High Ticket Sales."
To make a long story short I was 1 of nearly 2,500 people who was listening to these guys say that in 60 days, while only working 1 hour a day, with no skill, YOU can make 100k-500k a MONTH.
The premise? That you can't expect to make money working hard and hustling.
I didn't make it through the whole webinar.
Clearly BLosch, you're smarter than the host of the webinar because "gurus" or self proclaimed gurus always say and promise that you can do little and make a lot of money. But, the truth is that they're taking the low road i.e. promoting and getting the word out and making a small cut that they're investing somewhere else and exaggerating about making uddles of cash. Ultimately, WA is legit and people who choose to ignore it are bigger fools than the people who are sitting there listening to him.

I think he doesn't say you'll get there with no skill. He proposed to teach some skills in high ticket sales. But it will cost you I don't remember how many $1,000s to buy his training.
I read his book "FU Money". I have some agreements and some disagreements with him.
But I don't buy his course...
Thanks StunningBell, I'm proud of what I've accomplished, I hope each and every day that I can keep coming up with ideas to make my website great because I've grown to love WA and the services that they provide. People don't know a good thing until they're in need of something quick in which to make a lot of money. Making money takes time and hard work too but people choose to ignore the latter half of that statement. Sad really.
And that's the main reason why 95% of entrepreneurs fail. Imagine the tons of opportunities out there that only 5% are taking advantage of?
If only they could just remain consistent and patient as you, I believe the success rates would have been much better.

My pleasure, it is a great day everyday when I login in here and it makes me feel truly blessed to have lived long enough to be able to take advantage of such a great opportunity; if you ask me, I'd rather it take me a few years to get established and start making money than to fall for someone's get rich quick scheme. Above all, fast money leads to no money.
My answer to that is most people are looking for the quick buck. It maybe that they need money right now and can't take the time to invest in their future to make it work. The other reason might be they simply don't want to put in the effort (the lazy person). In either case, they are looking for the turn-key solution that they can just pop up and start earning right away. When they don't see that, they leave.
RIght you are Merlynmac, WA may not be a turn key system or business but it provides so much to the point where it not being turn key doesn't matter. I love having the accomplishment that I completed the training necessary to make my website a success never mind the individual tutorials by the affiliates and Jay alone. I'm not going to stop riding this pony until I'm dead and gone and made uddles of cash. Either way, I'm not stopping.
Well I'll tell you one thing katkat is that I'll never understand those types of people who want a quickie route to money but I can say that I'm happy that it is a road that I'm glad that I didn't take.
Honesty has always been my thing and like I tell my wife sometimes, I can't be anything else but honest. Incidentally, I think more people need to be more honest with themselves regarding their retirement and golden year plans because this business makes it possible to live forever and be immortalized. Personally, I want that.

Rodney, you have the right attitude, and I hope many others will follow the lead of many affiliates that understand that this is not a free ride and do not expect a million dollars come from the sky and fall on your lap. We have to work hard to achieve things in life.
I do not understand why some people complain but when they are at their office, many of them work long hours to get that paycheck. I see this opportunity with WA as the first step to have my permanent income and not having to work any longer for anybody else but me. Thanks, Rodney for this post, it reminds people of the many opportunities we let go.
It was my pleasure Eugene, I've always had an open mind when it comes to hard work. However, I was, once upon a time, one of those who was expecting a lot of the same thing that other people do then I realized, if I can work hard on a video game and spend hours trying to find an item, a collectible, a weapon or even a healing item, I should be able to give my business that's going to be making me money from now until doomsday and beyond the same attention and length of time; this just goes to show whose really ready to be their own boss and who is satisfied with doing as little as possible to get big results.
