Can anyone advise me what to do, when a new uninvited "user" appears in my "users" tab in my dashboard. - does this happen for others and is it normal, your advice appreciated!
It has happened to me. If you go under users in your dashboard on wordpress you'll see what kind of user. For example, if you are collecting subscribers a lot of time they will show up as a user but they can't access anything in your dashboard, However it's kind of cool because it shows your their email address too! Hope this helps...best wishes!!
Thank You Des, You are the second person to give that same advice, As Marion said, I have taken that advice and removed the "intruder" from my site - Your help much appreciated - I am learning more each day, what a fabulous group of willing helpers we have here in WA - Love it!
I am not familiar with this issue. Perhaps contacting site support will be helpful. Good luck.
Ive never had that happen to me, im a premium member and I got my own domain, so i dont have any issues its better that way.

Unexpected subscribers are usually bots trying to hack your website. Go to Settings > General and uncheck the box "anyone can subscribe". Then go to Users > All Users and delete the extra users.
