Month Three Update
(Or should that be downdate)
So three months in now and I am continuing to create content for my website. That’s all good and I have a list of articles that I am going to type up over the next few weeks.
I guess it’s normal to have a few doubts about the direction in which your going and probably right on time i’m beginning to have a couple of doubts about whether I chose the right niche.
This is not being helped by Google deciding not to give me any impressions in the last week at a point when I thought it would be beginning to pick up a little!
So, lovely people at WA, I thought i’d write this and see if anyone out there has had similar experiences, I know it’s just going to be a case of keeping my head down and pushing through and i’m quite prepared to do this, but if anyone out there can advise if i’m doing anything inherently wrong then it would be much appreciated.

I think your website is good. I checked with Jaaxy - Great keyword research by the way. Posts will rank in the future.
It takes time to start seeing results. I have a new niche since October and it's the same. I would not even expect anything in the first 6 or even 9 months. I'm just creating content - that's my goal. Check this video - it will help you to understand the process. How Long Does It Take To Rank And Get Traffic? [worst case scenario!] What I would do on your site - I would probably use another Category, not educational. Home Office as the main and then sub categories - Organising, Decorating, etc... - example. Also, you have big gaps between paragraphs, not always but sometimes - in your first posts especially. Go through all of them and check if they are all right.
You have external and internal links which are good for your SEO. Well done!
Do not give up. You will see the results. Look at some of your competitors how they do things. Start YouTube channel, Pinterest would be great for your niche. They love these kind of staff.

Thanks for the comments and insight. I will get those points looked at straight away and keep doing what i’m doing. I’ve decided i’m In this for the long haul so not going to give up. Just some days you would like to see some progress being made.

Thanks Robin. I totally understand you. We all want to see progress from the beginning. But the truth about seeing any success is TIME. ⏳So, we just support each other here 🤝and keep moving forward. The beginning is slow, but then everything will start accelerating.

Hi Robin, three months is really early , I am 6 month in with mine and it is creeping up with each bit of content I post. It takes time. If it is helpful I look at progress across a longer period which I think gives you a more accurate picture in terms of any growth trends.
I guess we starting from nothing and viewing through that lens is helpful.
I think a lot of people give up at 3 then 6 month time periods which is often why the rate of success can seem low. Yet after a year its a very different picture then after two we wondered what we were thinking of in changing our niche!
You can always submit your site through site feedback, its can be brutal but helpful.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes I think there are point at which people expect to start seeing things changing. I read about people seeing changes at both 3 months and 6 months but rather than “expecting” changes we should expect little until there is a lot of content there to provide our audience. I’ll keep plugging away and stop looking at the stats quite so often!
