Hi WA gang,
Got a quick question for you. I’ve been article writing away on my website (just over 50 articles) for five months now. Someone from a website which se
When Guest Posting, this is usually a free mutual agreement, or in some cases, you pay the website where you want your posts added, so no, you wouldn’t be expecting payment from them to add your posts on their website. This is all based on you being able to include a couple of links per post back to your website.
If the company is one that you know, trust, and would like to work with, then by all means proceed. However, it would be worth doing due diligence first and checking out their traffic stats, to see if it will be worth your while.
The fact that you will also become an affiliate of theirs, is a win win, as you will not only benefit from receiving visitors from their website to yours, but you can also send visitors to their website, and earn a commission from them.
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. I agree with you 100%, I understand that they sell quite a lot of equipment so hopefully i’ll see an upturn in traffic and that is easily tracked so I can see if it’s worthwhile. Will give it a try for a couple of months and see what happens.
Thanks for your feedback, it’s much appreciated.
Regards,
Robin
You’re welcome and sounds good. When you include your links on the posts you do for their website, make sure they set you up with an Author Bio to appear at the bottom of every post. In this bio you can explain a little about yourself, your website, and a link to your home page. Then throughout the post itself, try and get one to two deep links to a relevant post on your own website, to encourage the engagement further.
I am fairly new to everything about affiliate marketing and such but I would think in the long run you would definitely profit off of it financially, and more traffic. Allowing to include your website link is good for traffic which will lead to more people finding out about your website and could essentially lead those people into telling others about it and increase more and more traffic on your website, then eventually leading to profit.
Hi - is it a well-established, reputable website that has plenty of posts and interaction with visitors? Did they contact you by name and specifically mention your website? Or was it a generic email that they have sent to dozens of websites in the hope that they will get free content? The reason for writing those posts is that you would expect to receive traffic from them.
If they haven't already offered payment, then I suspect that they don't intend to pay you. It is up to you as to whether you think your time and effort in writing these posts would give a good return in terms of the number of visitors you would gain. You could always try it for a couple of months, and see if it results in traffic. Just don't tie yourself into a long-term contract with them.
Hi Diane,
Checked out their website as we were mutually following each other on Twitter. The owner got in touch saying that he liked my articles (and that it was something that he wasn’t particularly good at) and suggested we do some collaboration work.
I can see the potential benefit to both parties but just wasn’t sure if there was a standard acceptable practice when it came to this sort of thing. As i’m already writing a heap, another couple of articles a month won’t be too much.
I’ve sent him over a draft first article and i’ll see what he comes back with.
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.
Much appreciated,
Robin

brilliant, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. An easy fix too!
thanks and best regards,

Hi - no, you would need to add a plugin to be able to do that. Such as "Comment Reply Email Notification".
Discussion settings on website, any response?
