Just breathe
I've found myself back in that place...where there's so much of something, it paralyzes me. A lot of training, a lot of ideas, a very VERY unrealistic and pessimistic view of the hours in the day and that little whisper in the "brain behind the brain" saying "it's overwhelming...too much...you're not like them...look how much further along they are...what makes you think you can...etc etc.". This is the point where I recoil and give myself that excuse....maybe I'll never be good enough. Oh, Lord, I've done that in so many things I've done: I started in Real Estate and started comparing myself with the multi-million dollar agent at the company...started running and thought of all the wiry, fit people training for marathons.
Why do we do that to ourselves? There's no bigger enemy than our own self-doubt and we can rationalize our way out of its insiduous ways but it's like a wave: comes back again and again. Actually, this website might be the cure for that lie. I've read a couple of dissapointments but by and large, the atmosphere here is impactful in a most positive way. It's kind of like a good friend that, when you're stuck to the couch in your pajamas, comes through the door with coffee and oozing energy and gets you to put your clothes on and go walking. That's how you break the silly momentum of compacency and self-doubt.
So, tomorrow, pajamas off, jogging pants on and Article nr. 3!

Roberta, overwhelm is natural for most of us when we are learning something new and there is so much information coming our way. One way to deal with it is to break it down into little pieces and deal with them one at a time not worrying about everything after that. Take the time you need to learn as you go along. I have watched and rewatched training videos so I could understand them well. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That's another way to learn and reduce any struggling you have. Take little breaks or give yourself a reward for accomplishing tasks.
You are building a business for yourself or at least a website and that doesn't happen in a day. The income doesn't start flooding in right away either. If you are doing your part consistently, it will eventually come as well.
If your mind is doubting too much, I literally tell that voice to shut up! :-) A nicer way might be to say, Thank you, I've got this, as the mind is also trying to protect you from the unknown.

Thanks, Mel, yes, I'm taking notes and re-watching some of the videos. My problem is that I'm reading the conversations here and sometimes I don't know what they're talking about...then it makes me worry. However, I figured it out that learning is a process and I'm trying not put the cart before the horses.
It does happen
Sometimes we do become overwhelmed
It is okay for us to feel that way
It is also ok for us to take things at our own pace
Continue to take deep breaths
You will get there

I remember when I first started and how overwhelming it seemed. Just relax and take it one step at a time. We are all here for you if you need help. We have all been there at one point. Don't give up. It took me 4 1/2 to finish the training. The training is here to guide you, it is not a race, work at a pace that is good for you. Ask the community questions, they have all been asked before. Remember, the community at Wealthy Affiliate are here to help you. We love to help others become successful.
