So yesterday after spending hours writing my new post(I`m not a quick writer and I also had to research). Not to mention getting up now and then to do this or that, cook dinner, even went out grocery shopping.

I was proud of what I had created, an indepth article that I was sure will do well as the competition is quite low and the searches in the hundreds.

By the time I was done, it was past 1am, then it was time to insert images then publish. What a surprise, I has not saved the post as I was writing it and the bad news, I was writng directly on WP.So I got automatically logged out and the post was gone.

I felt so stupid and so angry at myself and so dissapointed, how could I make such a newbie mistake? why did I not use the WA content writing, why did I not do this or that.... in the end it was what it was, my hard work was for nothing, everything was gone.

So today instead of writing a new article(new keyword) I have to go back and re-write the article. What a pain.

Don`t make these simple mistakes,I know they used to happen when I got started but doing the same job twice is just not fun.

Hi

go back to WordPress as it saves post automatically with the new blog editor. Take the last saved version. Scroll down at the end of the post where you can see " post revision" choose the last one and that should be than the latest version saved.

Hope that helps
Sylvia

I hear your pain, this happened to me. I answered teh phone started something to respond to that and before I returned; it logged me out. No I write the majority of my post in a word processor and copy and paste later on. I also do frequent saves and leave a post on line but unpublished until I feel it's done.

this had not happened to me in a long time and I hope it does not happen again any time soon.

Oh, that is terrible. My workers tell a story about me from decades ago. At work, While writing a lengthy report I had a mild heart attack. The story goes that as I was being wheeled out to the ambulance, I kept yelling, “ someone save my report.” Yep not saving a report is frustrating. good post.

I hope you are now well recovered. It`s frustrating when the work you`ve spent hours doing just get wiped out like that, in my case, because of my carelessness. I just hope I don`t repeat the mistake soon.

What a pain Roamy. Know the feeling well, I lost work just last week. I hadn't save it and a power cut meant it was lost forever.

So I`m not alone............you can take comfort that it was not your fault (not that it makes things any better) but in my case, it was totally my fault.
I hope not to repeat the same mistake any time again soon.

Was still the same result because I hadn't saved it.
Same here but I probably will at some point.

Sorry to hear that. That must really suck. It just goes to show that even the professionals occasionally make mistakes

We just learn through mistakes, but this kind of mistake was not supposed to happen,oh well it, did.Only cost me.............many lost hours and now have to invest as many hours re-writing.
