I need WA more than ever.

I had to close my barbershop because I am having major health issues. It was suggested by the doctor that I file for disability. I am hopeful that I can get back on track here at WA and continue working. I have been too depressed to even attempt anything in a while. I am still really stuck on the niche thing. I get it. At the same time I just dont. I seem to want to go after things as a niche that are not very familiar to me but interesting to me. Suggestions?

Another suggestion is think about your experience when you run barbershop, there are many hair related products you can sell via provide solution for them. A niche all related to hair care, hair style, hair cutting accessories, hair treatment products recommendation for all kinds of hair problems. Like me and my friends as new mum, when we were pregnant and as a new born mum, we suddenly care about organic hair products, and how to prevent hair loss after delivery, easy handle hair style for busy routine and how to keep it well... this kind of things.
Think about what questions/problems that your clients always face? Provide real experience solution for them in your blog, lead them to the product selling page like Amazon. No one know better than you as you run a barbershop for real!

Hope that helps. :)

Thank you Carmen. Awesome advice. Only worry is that it's not high ticket enough to make higher commission. Do you thing the volume would make up the difference?

There are two types, either you sell a high price product with lesser demand or lower price product with higher demand. For me, both are important to have at the same time.
If you only rely on high price product but with less demand, once the demand is dropped or somehow your site ranking related to this product is dropped, then, that would affect you significantly.
But when you have more lines of low price product with higher demand, the income source should be more stable and secure. People also take shorter time to decide and compare/ review when they buy something cheap online.

I would suggest spend double or triple time to create a post for the high return product, at the same time, to spend less time but more posts to create the lower return but high demand products. So, if in formula, would be something like this -
1 high return but lower demand post = 3-5 lower return but higher demand posts

This is just my theory and hope it makes sense. Nothing proof yet as I am still on a stage of developing my website. Not yet officially launched.

English is not my first language, I hope I kind of feedback you correctly to your question. :)

Carmen

Carmen, you are very wise. This sounds very logical to me. Diversify for stability. The small products are not a mystery to me. Plenty of hair care products. But finding high ticket items in the same field is a harder task. Maybe have to do multiple websites with different type products. High ticket items.

Your communication is great . I feel honored to receive help from someone from your country. We really are just one big family. Spread out over many countries. Thank you.

My opinion is one website for all would be more beneficial, in terms of Google ranking, the whole website under one domain name with rich content related to one same topic - hair. All different posts under same domain can interlink with each other, become a strong resource center, that extend the average time and page view for each unique visitors, that would eventually give credits to your website.

What you need to do is to have good structure category/ to tag them and also to group similar posts under one page section.
There are many ways to categorize, by product type, by hair characteristics, by gender-age.
Menu bar/ page section structure like -
Hair treatment product
Hair styling product
Healthy food for hair

Or
Long Hair
Short Hair
Color Hair
No Hair

Or
Boys
Girls
Women
Men
Senior

Or
For Causal Days
For Business
For Wedding
For Party
For Interview
For School

Many ways you named it. That is like how you set up your hair shop, think about if you have 10 show rooms, how you want to set up for each room's theme?

Keep the same topic/ theme posts into one website not just technically for Google to rank it high, this also help to build trust to your audience as you demonstrate how rich the knowledge you have related to hair, from basic to advanced level of hair things. They can do search within your website to get all the hair tips they are searching. One stop website to solve all their hair problem/ questions.

Just like when you shop for your hair products or any products, people tend to go to one shop that can buy most of the things in their shopping list, rather than jump in 10 different shops to checked all the items in the shopping list.

Hope that helps. :)

It does make since. Easier to optimize one site. As I said before. You are a wise lady. Thank you. You have given me much to think about.

You can choose any niche you want. It can be anything you like. If you check your interests, you will find a lot of things. Also, you can use the search bar for any relevant articles from other members.

I wish you all the best.

Are higher ticket items better?

I prefer to promote high ticket products or products with recurring commissions. You can earn more money with the same effort.

Is there a price range for the products you promote that you try to stay within? 100 to 500, 500 to 1000, 1000 to 10,000? Dollars?

I promote WA. On average you can make more than $100 per sale and I am happy with that.

I have made sales on more expensive products (over $1000 commissions) but they are rare. In my opinion, you can find plenty opportunities in most niches.

If you focus on finding only good products for your visitors, you will promote both of high ticket and low ticket products.

But I would not recommend a niche with only very low commissions (example: amazon ebooks) and I would avoid any scams or low quality products even if they pay big commissions.

I think the best way to figure it out is by taking action. Choose a niche you like and move forward to the next steps.

My first website was a complete failure. But I learned many things and figured out what I did not want to do. So, my second webite has much better results and I still work on it every single day.

So if I stay within 100.00 to 1000.00 dillar product, is that a resonalble sweet spot to get good commission? Also, do you do You Tube videos to sell WA?

Yes, it would be fine.

I have not created any YouTube videos yet. I just publish content on my website.

Bonzo, your awesome. I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Hello RNewberry1 Congratulations on becoming Premium. I wish you Great Success here at the WA. Everything is going to be alright. Your health is more important than anything. Check out my website http://gethealthyforyou.com. Sometimes supplements is really all you need. Doctors sometimes don't want to tell you these things. Vitamin C and Vitamin E will do wonders to our bodies. God has something better for you. Be Blessed!

Like the way you think. God rocks!

I also have a struggle on picking a niche for a while, so, instead of stuck in this step and wasting my time there to do a niche research, I decided to go for the Affiliate Bootcamp, to promote Wealthy Affiliate. At least for me I can start to build my website, to learn and practice at the same time. And I know Wealthy Affiliate is worth to promote and I am for sure it is a profitable and sustainable product to promote.

I believe that it will be a good exercise for me to learn and earn at the same time. And I believe what I am going to learn from promoting Wealthy Affiliate via the Affiliate Bootcamp, in the end will help me to go back for my niche website development.

That is my plan. Hope you find your way soon.

Keep us posted on your success. I hope you do extremely well. I was curious about the same path. I'm a little shy about doing a YouTube channel. Have you posted to You Tube yet?

For me, SEO is the key, google ranking is the key. I don't think I would bother to create Youtube content unless I have plenty of time to do so. Creating good video content and editing well is very time consuming, and afterwards you have to work on getting traffic to that video. But it is just for me, there are many successful case out there and they enjoy doing it. I just don't. :P

However, if you are providing "how to do it" this type of demonstration video, then, a video is better than thousands words. Like a blog post related to Dyson Airwrap and then a video demonstrate how to use it/ how to clean it/ how to fix it would be a good drive of traffic to sell this product. ;-)

Keep going, Man!

I don't want to be on disability for long. I want to be successful with WA and keep working full time as an internet marketer. Thanks for the encouragement.
