University education

Here are just some thoughts about education! I know that in Montreal, Canada, education fees are less high than in usa, but still it's a lot of money! I finished my bachelor degree in urban planning and the demand is so much higher than the needs! I spent so much money on that. It was sometimes so hard and difficult, and on top of that, you can't really make money or work a lot when you have like 5 exams and 2 papers to do in one week.

Of course, I met a lot of friends there, had great parties and good times, I learned a lot of things also. I finished last winter, I went to Vietnam for vacations, came back and worked in sales. I dont have a job in my field and I don't really where I'm gonna find that. It's like, you work so hard for 3-4 years and when it's done, yes you're proud and happy but really not well prepare to do concrete money (more than if you didn't go to university).

It's like a free for all, you have your degree, now find something. I think sometimes it was too theoric and not enough connected to the reality and the job market. I'm really interested in finding someting that I enjoy doing and that can makes me live well. And not by working 60 hours a week.... So I'm ready to give a lot of energy in WA and I hope to see some results eventually! Here is my site after 4 days: fantasticcomic s.siterubix.com ...A lot more to learn!! Take care and thank you for reading it!!

Unfortunately, this is the way it is in today's world. Our society has created a lot of this challenge by telling us that everyone should get a college education.

Along with that came pressure on schools to get more students graduating with degrees. So, costs went up, actual learning decreased, and more and more people went out on the streets with degrees that could not get them a job.

Now we see people striving to get a Masters degree on top of a Bachelor degree. Often that puts the person into a position where companies don't want to hire them, especially if the degree is only theoretical. It's a tough cycle.

I do feel fortunate to have been ahead of this cycle. When I got my bachelor degree there were actually jobs available. Not everyone got a job, of course, but it wasn't at all like today's world.

It did mean, however, that I settled into a normal "job" lifestyle. I had a job that was "good" but my career never really got me ahead, though I had been taught that it would. I got a Masters degree at age 50 and then even pursued a doctorate until I realized that was really a waste.

Build your business here and avoid the hassles of working for someone else the rest of your life.

Thank you for your response, very interesting! Yeah, the university is now a 'buisness'.. It wasn't the first goal of education and it's kind of sad that now it's the case. The 'overeducation' is unfortunately a thing now!.. Things are going well for you online?

They are coming along well. I had a lot to learn and I'm not very fast at writing content, so it's taking me a while. I recognize the potential, however, so I continue to do something each day to build on my site. The stuff Kyle teaches us works. I just have to continue to create more content and be recognized outside of WA.
