Hi friends,
It's again time for another monthly update. You can read the last one here https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...
I quit my 9-5 job in June so July was the first full month for me as a full-time Internet marketer.
It has been interesting start for a lifelong journey as an entrepreneur and I have learned several things. In general, 9-5 job is very easy. You just show up, do something and you get paid. In many companies they don't require very much.
For example, in my last work place my bosses said to me, "Slow down Roope." I made almost twice as much calls in the beginning than my colleagues. I was looking around and realized that you get paid anyway. That's one big reason why I wanted to get out of 9-5 job. Most people are there just for the paycheck and their goal is not to get better. I didn't want to become such a person myself.
The Man in the Mirror - My New Boss
Now I don't have a boss saying what I need or shouldn't do, it requires more discipline and personal leadership skills to do my best. I am responsible for the man in the mirror.
To be honest, July was a learning month. Here's one ultimately important thing what I have learned this year:
"We don't get what we want, we get what we have to have!" -Tony Robbins
- If I have said to myself, I must write 3 articles per day, I've done it and not much more.
- If I have said to myself, I must write 2 articles per day, I've done it and not much more.
- If I have said to myself, I must write 1 article per day, I've done it and not much more.
I think you understand the point?

If my goal has been, "Afterwards, I'll learn something new and put it into action." Usually, it hasn't given good results. Most of the time I've done something something else because the goal hasn't been clear.
=> I (and you) need to have clear goals that are MUST. Not something that "would be nice to achieve or do".
Don't set goals like, "It would be nice to achieve x and y things."
Set a goal like, "I MUST achieve x thing." or in another mode, "I have achieved x thing." when you already see yourself in a position of achieving that thing.
Now I Have a "Summer Holiday"
I just came to Finland to my home town and I'll spend here 3 weeks with friends and family. During this time I set my minimum working time to 6h/day or 42h/week so I'll have more time to see people. Probably I'll anyway work a bit more because I enjoy building an online business so much.
When I go back to Austria, my minimum will be 9h/day or 63h/week.
First, I tried to work like 80-100h per week but I realized I need to set a goal first a bit lower like 63 hours per week. Then it's easier to add little by little to reach +80h/week. It requires discipline because there are many times when you don't feel like doing it but you know it would be the best just to do it.
Patrick Pet-David teaches that for an entrepreneur,
- 40h/week = part-timer
- 60h/week = full-timer
- 80h/week = all-the-timer (it means that you want to achieve something big)
Elon Musk says that entrepreneurs must work at least 80-100 hours per week if we want to achieve something great. He works himself +100 hours per week and he says sometimes it's necessary to work all the waking hours.
So, working +42 hours per week during my holiday in Finland is okay. Some people call it a full time but for an entrepreneur is not a full-time. It's a part time / holiday mode.
The Future Looks Brighter Than Ever!
I'm so excited to see what the following months and years will bring. The future looks very bright because my websites are growing all the time. Here are some highlights of July:
- My traffic grew +30% on YourOnlineRevenue.com.
- I have made new record with organic traffic for 9 weeks in a row so it's constantly growing.
- My overall and organic traffic grew on LanguagesAreEasy.com even though I didn't publish a single new post (my focus has been on the other website)
- My YouTube channel is growing all the time even though the progress has been quite slow so far.
- More WA-referrals and WA commissions than ever before
It's nice to see the progress but now need to get back to work. There are a million other things that I could share what I have learned but let's save something for the following posts :)
Until next month's update! I wish you success.
