Success Thrives On Persistence
The ability to stick to any activity long enough to produce favorable results is indispensable to success. Many fine personal attributes - a fine education, good contacts, a charming personality, etc - are far less vital to success than the ability to stay goal-directed and persevere.
This is what separates the champions from the also - rans! Don't confuse this wonderful quality of persistence with a tendency to stick - to or hang on to something or someone, even when to do something or someone, even relationships, should be released and let go for the good of all concerned, especially ours.
Applying persistence to a well - defined goal is indispensable. It is almost impossible to prevent your own success if you stick to it and continue to persist. Don't quit!
It was only a couple decades ago that a milkshake mixer salemen turned one San Bernardino, California hamburger stand into a vast fast - foods empire. That was Ray Kroc, and the company he biult is called McDonalds. Mr. Kroc did not become wealthy until he was in his mid - fifties, and he is a strong believer in the following words, and so am I:
Press on!
Nothing in the world can take the place of perseverence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than an unsuccessful man or woman with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts; Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent.

I really like your post, and I couldn't agree with you more - it takes courage to believe in your vision of success, and it also takes self-discipline to stay persistent in pursuing that vision.

Will I or anyone else persevere or quit? Only time will tell! Along with the perseverance we need determination. That is a major factor in reaching the finishing post.
