What Niche Should I Blog About? 140+ Good Niche Ideas to Get You Started
When I started my training here at WA, this was one of the most difficult tasks. Niches! What niche should I blog about? I was definitely overthinking it. My head was spinning with all the possibilities. Do you have the same problem?
There are more than 3.8 billion online users and I think there are even more possibilities for niches. Think of anything and it could be a niche. What you hear and see around you are possible niches.
There are broad niches and micro niches and all the other niches in between.
It took me a while, but I realized choosing a niche is actually very easy. The secret is not to overthink it.
The Secret to Finding Your Niche
It is crucial to find a niche about something you love or are passionate about. This does not necessarily mean you have to be an expert. As long as it is something you enjoy and even want to learn more about.
With blogging comes a lot of research and with research knowledge. You will learn as you progress.
First Step:
Make a list of everything you like, love and are passionate about. Set your imagination free.
Second Step:
Rearrange your list from most important to least important. Choose the first 5 or 10 topics from your list.
Third Step - Ask yourself these questions for each topic:
- Would you enjoy writing about this niche?
- Would you be able to write many posts about this niche?
- Is there a market for this niche? Your common sense should be able to help you out here for the most part of it. Doing a little research should take care of the rest.
- Would you be able to solve problems, offer help or meet your audience's needs with your niche?
- Is your niche too broad? If yes, how do you want to narrow it down.
These are just a few basic steps to get you started.

Fantastic Rika, really nice. I remember struggling with niche ideas when I first started a website. Wealthy Affiliate made it so simple for me to understand. With your list, I don't think anyone will have to struggle for ideas anymore. Well appreciated
Well that certainly narrows it down. Not! Lol. Point well taken though...ideas are endless. I think your first question is the most important. Pick a niche we would enjoy writing about week after week....and if we can't do that there is always Bootcamp!

I agree Debbie. I think most people can't decide on a niche because there are just too many to choose from. It is much better to start with what you like:)
