A New Start
I deal with Anxiety and Agoraphobia that has pretty much turned my life upside down. I though I had this under control until January of 2015 when I started having really bad attacks when I would just walk out my front door. I eventually kept myself away from being online, I shut off my cell phone, and I avoided any contact with everyone.
When this happened I lost everything, and I even fell into a depression. After awhile I just lost my purpose. I felt helpless, and really unwanted. No one really understood what was going on.
Thank you Wealthy Affiliate and all of you here in the community. I think i have once again found a purpose, and a way to communicate with all of you. I always knew that I was meant to help others ( I have a bachelor of science degree in Psychology).
There are so many thoughts that go through my mind, and I think this will now allow me to get all of that out. Once again, Thank You everyone for beings so welcoming.

I' m very glad that you are feeling better now! Sometimes focusing on helping others helps us to forget some of our own problems. It makes our own problems seem far away. You will be able to help others because you know how they feel. Concentrate on that. It's very hard to put ourselves out in the open when we feel vulnerable, but remember, nobody is alone in their problems. Everyone in the world, in all honesty, has problems that they hide. You are never really alone! I am the exact opposite of you, I can' t stand to be indoors or in the dark. I am ADDICTED to sunshine. :)
That is why your photo is half dark and half light. Well I can assure you that we are all here to help. I was in a dark place once. Keep fighting for your dreams and never give up.

Sorry about your struggles in the past, Rich. I hope that you will be encouraged by being part of the community at WA and have success as you move forward.
