This morning I commented on a blog post of a WA friend who was feeling a little down. Hopefully her feelings are only temporary and she will have got some encouragement from what I said.
I then thought I'd blog it to share it with the community as a whole.
In my bio, I mention that I am passionate about personal development as I believe this to be the key to success both in life and in business.
I'm reading two books simultaneously at the moment that are helping me enormously. I know 2 books at once sounds a bit daft but there's method in the madness!
The books are both by Melody Beattie and are called 'The Language of Letting Go' and 'More Language of Letting Go'.
Each one has just one page at a time for each day of the year. I read the page for each day in each book first thing in the morning.
I've got a few skeletons in my cupboard from the past and as a result I have been battling with depression and anger issues for years. These feelings are't there all the time and come at random. Sometimes they last a couple of hours and sometimes a few days, but when they do come it is a living hell.
I realize that they will never truly disappear but reading and listening to audios helps me to control the feelings, rather than the feelings control me.
I can't recommend these 2 books enough whether one has personal baggage or not.
Daily self-help exercizes are easy to do but also easy not to do. The one page per day makes it so easy to continue the habit and the messages in the content are so easy to relate to and very inspiring.
