What a fantastic day...not!
On Dec 5th I got the great honor of spending 19.5 hours on a train. (after the first 12 I was basically off duty, but still stuck on the stupid train). Of course I didn't have signal either. So all in all it was awesome. It really made me want to get this business going even more.
I wrote 2 articles, but wasn't able to submit them until today. The First 2 articles have seemed to stop getting views at 68 and 67, with still only one click through. The third article was approved http://www.streetarticles.com/home-based-business/best-gift-for-your-wife. Got a small spike in traffic 19 new visitors, but it is too soon for google to see where they came from (Or I don't have analytics set-up right). So those visits may have come from submitting my site in the day 6 discussion here

If it made you want to work on your business more (even if it was through pure frustration because of the situation you were in), it wasn't in vain! Everything happens for a reason. So, excellent going with writing 2 articles : )

So you work on a train? Last year visited Thailand and decided to take the night train from Bangkok to ChaingMai -- and that was part was really nice -- new experience sleeping on train and everything very fresh and new. But the return trip had expected to see more and then we got stuck in between windows & partition and the windows we could see thru from a distance were very not very transparent to take pictures or see thru -- and I thought we'd never get off that train that day! Once is enough or perhaps sleep one way fly back or bus the other way!
Yeah I work or freight trains, I take the same route every trip, the view only changes with the season lol. I don't think I would enjoy being on a passenger train, would be too much like work :)
When things go wrong as they often do, there's always some reasons for us to find something worth doing. These are the times when we can get down to writing. I have my own which I call my "Parking Lot" moments. I drive for my daughter most of the time and wait for hours and hours...well, those hours will never go to waste. I have a "JIC bag" filled with my "Just In Case" sort of things to do when things go unexpected. I'm glad you were able to make use of your time wisely. Way to go, Rich.
It really is especially for our children. My kids grew up with their JIC bag because we travel a lot, we go to meetings for so long and they have to wait. Before they leave the house, I always make sure they have their activities for the day ready "just in case" we go longer than expected. With the advent of technology, their jic bags are smaller with all their gadgets in there. You will not have any problem keeping kids busy while you are doing something important. And oh, btw, kids' bags always have extra clothes just in case. LoL.
I have a just in case bag ready all the time -- so I don't have to fumble looking for anything and can just up and walk out the door anytime -- they call it a "messenger bag" when you buy it.
Just remember that those articles will be around for years. Some content that I wrote five years ago is still earning today. Those pennies and dollars add up over the years. So 2 articles can produce traffic for years.
That is good news, and my goal really - passive income in the future from work done now.
Thanks, I guess that we have to have the crappy days so that we can really enjoy the good days.

It was worth it if you got work done.
