Dream Stealers
Last Saturday afternoon I was working on pages for my website and decided I needed a break. I decided to go a few doors down and visit a neighbor, I started telling him and his wife about WA and how it is free to join I’m learning how to build a website so I can start an on line business. He said it’s not something that he’d be interested in but maybe his wife would be. I told them I’d get a link and if they did sign up I would get the credit.
I have been working hard on this site all week going through the training and have made significant progress since last Saturday. Feeling really good about the accomplishments that I have made I decided to pay my neighbors a visit and share my progress and the link in case they had an interest in WA, Big Mistake. All I heard was negativity about it, 1001 reasons what was wrong with it and why it was never going to work out for me I felt so humiliated, belittled, put down, there was no support for me whatsoever.
That’s not what friends do, no hard feelings, but I don’ have to take that and I’m not going to let someone steal my dreams. Sadly there are so many people out there like that, those that would rather see someone fail than succeed. Don’t let anyone steal your dreams no matter what they may be.

Hi Rhonda, There are always people ready to steal your dreams. What you need is a mentor that you can bounce ideas and accomplishments off of. You have many of those kind of people here at WA. You can do this! Dave.
There's the saying "don't knock it till you try it", making assumptions you don't have any knowledge about isn't fair and they should definitely be more supportive of you, especially if you see it as something that will better yourself. Sorry you had to deal with that, but I will be rooting for you! :)
There will always be people like that around, and the best way to show them wrong is for you to sucseed.
I have told a few friends about this too, and one of them joined, but signed up through somebody else. I told him what I was doing, but never mentioned WA, so he went online to search for work from home, found a WA review written by someone else, and joined.
He have already had his first sales and is very happy, I learned a lesson, from now on when I tell friends about WA, I will tell them to join with my link.
Don't be to hard on your neighbours, they don't know what they are talking about.
Rhonda, that is no doubt the first of many negative opinions you'll emcounter. Angry people live in a hostile world because they make it so.
As we've all heard & probably said, "Misery loves company". Unfortunately most people who take such positions are not very happy themselves.
Our perspective can change our response to almost any situation. If we see such people as unfortunate rather than hostile, we are not only gaining better perspective, we feel better in relation to them than if we see them as just mean spirited.
Keep the faith in yourself & our beautiful, friendly community:)>
And keep pushing on with your online business. In time many of the folks who thought you were crazy to do this will be envious.
Peace!
Terry
Time to make new friends Rhonda! We're only as successful as the people we surround ourselves with and sometimes we have to deal with the toxicity (spouses, children, family members) but friends we don't have to deal with that. You have all of us here at WA to lend a kind word, and support.
Keep going!
