Why don't you just go with maternitycostumes.(Something)... I just checked, and the .com is taken but not in use, so you go with .us .net or one of the others? :)
It is... But mostly because its truthworthy with users, it's regognizable.. I wouldn't worry too much about it, When that excact name makes so much sense according to your niche.

I was just under the impression it was best to get a .com?
