More Nonmonetary Successes.
So, I've somewhat taken a small sabbatical from posting to my pages in order to look into Affiliate Networks and individual affiliate programs that would be suitable to the content I'm putting on my sites.
(If you haven't had the chance to check them out, take a look: RebeccasHealthcare.com and wehunttexas.com)
Anyway, during my break, I've learned quite a few things:
1. There are multiple Affiliate Networks that handle multiple individual affiliate programs.
2. Some networks aren't even willing to give you the time of day until your site has a large amount of content and traffic.
3. Social Media IS YOUR FRIEND...as long as you know how to use it properly.
4. When Kyle tells you that Google+ is your friend, he means it, to an even larger extent than what he goes into regarding it. You can find ALL KINDS of things on Google+.
5. If you're in Google+, you can search ANYTHING in the search engine box and it LITERALLY comes up with so many things that you can literally sort them out as follows:
- Everything
- People and Pagescan
- Collections
- Communities
- Google+ Posts
- Photos
- More
- Hangouts
- Events
- From your circles
- From you
- To you
6. Google+ is a GREAT way to grow your circles network, because it constantly suggests people to add, based on the content you're interested in, relationship to existing contacts, interaction in posts, etc.
7. Google+ allows you to add an unlimited number of interests and apply to any and all communities you wish, unlike other sites that limit the number of interests you can select, which is great because you can receive more information on your topics of interest automatically.
8. You can set your pages up so that they can automatically post your new website posts to your social media networks, and vice versa (although I haven't quite figured this one out completely...mostly because I'm trying to get back into all the social media accounts I have but stopped using because I thought they were too much trouble).
9. Some companies are willing to work with you even with minimal content and traffic to your site, as long as your site is directed toward the type of products they sell, so it's still worth applying to be an affiliate even in the early stages.
10. Regardless of what happens, keep your passion and do some word of mouth marketing about your sites, talk to friends, family co-workers, etc. The more people hear about it, the more traffic you'll get.

This is really great information! I still want to get into selling on Ebay and Amazon as well as my own site and do affiliate marketing. I've never done anything with Google + yet but there are so many things I am trying to do I don't want to end up with them all failing because I didn't put enough time and effort into any of them. I am also taking a class and trying to get all the stuff needed by my lawyer for my divorce.Too many things but I can't or don't want to drop anything. I feel like I have failed in everything I've done starting with retirement so I really want to turn that around and start succeeding.
Thanks for sharing your info!

I have a Google+ acct but don't pay attention to it...guess I need to! So much to absorb! I find stickers are a great way to get the word out... It goes beyond the person who received the sticker.... In my case, ppl live The Beatles and want to know more!
You automatically get a G+ account when you sign up for the email account. I had one FOREVER, and thought it was just pretty much useless...same thing with Twitter, because really everything I needed happened on Facebook...which is wonderful, BUT the more people you are able to reach, the more you can gain rankings in Google (who rules the world) and the bigger you have a chance of being successful, so I figured, what the hell...let me start using ALL of them again.
Very good points. Thank You for sharing. I really must look into G+ soon. Sounds like a BIG deal.
