The following will set a footer at the bottom of every page of your website with the WA banner showing.

At Dashboard after you log into your website, on the left hand side you should have a menu item called “Appearance”. There is pull down menu. On there is “Widget”.

Click on Widget.

This brings you to another screen with lots of boxes and off to the right side position options.

Find a box with “Text” and then the add button. Underneath the box it may have this
Arbitrary text or HTML.

Click on the add button. You will be taken to another screen. There is a title box. You do not need a title. Now paste you link in the big box. Go down the page to Sidebar Position. Indicate you want it as a footer and then click on select. The number 1 will appear click on 1. This means the banner will be first in the footer should you later want to add other footers. Then click the button Save Widget.

You will go back to the previous page. Now take the text box and drag to the Footer Sidebar found on the right hand side of the page. Put it inside the box for the Footer Sidebar. Now you should see a box with Text and Edit inside the Footer Sidebar.

You are now done. You can then click on Page on the left hand side of your Dashboard. Click on a page and click view page. The banner should be showing on the page.

The way this banner was placed will show on every page.

If you want the banner to show only on one page, then here is how you do that.

Get to the page, select the page you want to put the banner and click the edit button. Now you are on the page where you can edit your text. You will see above your text a bar of buttons. Above that on the right hand side you will see two tabs. Visual and Text. Click on Text.
Go to the very end of all the text and code. Paste your link at the bottom of the page.
Now click on Visual. You may see a box or an empty space. Do not panic. Now click on the blue Update button the very right hand side. Now click on View Page. At the bottom of the page your banner will appear. If you log out of WA, you can actually click on the banner and it will take you to a sign up page.

Where exactly are you stuck? When I started out it took weeks even to get a website up and running, something that looked horrible compared to Wordpress websites. You are doing fine, don't panic just ask for help when you need it.

I get into pickles like you but what I do is take a deep breath, dump the computer for a while and do something completely different.
