Never Did I Ever
I never thought I would be blogging on my own website or at all, for that matter. I have minimal experience setting up a WordPress website that I used as a portfolio when applying for a job over a decade ago, but nothing more. I have never considered myself a writer or had the urge to write, and I am not ready to put myself out there, or so I thought. I had all the reasons to say no, but I decided to go all in and click that Wealthy Affiliates affiliate link on Tim's website.
It's been three weeks since I clicked on the affiliate link for Wealthy Affiliates, and so far, I am happy with my decision.
I have little time to work on my online business as I am an elementary school teacher with two children involved in extracurricular activities. You understand if you are close to anyone in the education field. Times are tough.
There are constant distractions at home when I am trying to write. I am going back and forth from making dinner, to writing to making lunches, to making coffee for the next day. That's after picking up after two tween girls and putting away the dishes from the night before, only to refill it again.
On top of all the distractions in my life, I have always been insecure. I stepped out of my comfort zone a few years ago and promoted an MLM product. It was a lot of work with minimal reward, and I was disappointed because I put myself out there and failed to make a successful business from it. I was embarrassed and worried about people's opinions of me. I lost 60 pounds following a ketogenic diet and promoting exogenous ketones. I got healthy, so it wasn't all bad.
So I've finally hit that age where you don't care what people think, I guess. Life is too short, and if I can get an online business to supplement some income, then let's go!
I try many products and do a lot of shopping, so finding a way to incorporate affiliate marketing into my blogging shouldn't be too difficult. I feel overwhelmed but delighted with WA and the support I have received thus far. I look forward to continuing my steps to success, and I will see you on the other side!

Sounds like you're doing great, Rebekah! Working at your own pace is one of the best parts about this.

To brighten your mood, and send giggles out there to many I offer this. Something I found trolling on facebook this morning looking for ideas of photos.
" I don't know who needs to hear this today, but your a good mom, teacher! Those kids are just bad. They most likely got it from their dad."
Us dad get the blame all the time, but in good humor of course and I hope that makes one smile, or many.
I like to write early in the morning, it started with journaling, felt so out of place 3 years ago when I started that part of my life journey but now feel out of place when I miss that part of my day. I oversleep from time to time from staying up to late working on projects. Addictions are a pain, I love creating and building things, songs, desks, buildings, or rebuilding things. Anyway. My flow works best then, maybe you are a morning person, then get up a tad earlier, if not after tucking in the youngsters, do some writing if you're a night owl.
Anyway, Rebeca super fun to chat here with you, hope I lifted your mood, and have fun with the kids, I really miss nap time when mine were little, now they know more than me, Uggg!
I must remember to let them learn, live and grow.
And I hope I sent good vibes and good ideas.
Peace out from a not so Sunny southern California.
Super David Scott, the Zam Man.
I never saw myself as a writer either. As a matter of fact, I did everything to avoid having to write, but I truly enjoy it now!

I was just a guest on a podcast and was asked the question about how affiliate marketing is different from an MLM. Just the fact that you don't have to buy anything, much less having a minimum you have to buy each month, plus no upline nor downline, and you get to choose whatever products you wish to promote from any manufacturer you wish makes affiliate marketing so very different! Glad you are enjoying WA!
