Tracking Website Traffic Through Google Analytics
I have set up google analytics in my wordpress site per Kyle's video. At the time, it showed me on the site, so I assumed it was working. Now when I go back to my google analytics account, it does not show anything about a website traffic. It is only the googleplus account information. What am I doing wrong?

Don't know. i had trouble setting it up and haven't done so yet. I am also just learning how to get traffic. So I decided to focus on generating some as a first priority. Then I'll have to debug activating Google Analytics.
well it could be that you really don`t have any traffic yet or you didnt set it up right. Can you explain what you did?
After setting up the account, I followed the instructions to get the UA code. I put the code into the editor according to Kyle's instructions on the video. When I tested it at the time, it showed the one visitor, which was me. Now when I go back to the analytic account, it does not show anything to a website traffic. I don't understand.
sounds like it`s working. How old`s your site? It can take some time for traffic to start coming in.
I started the site about two months ago. I have not been able to work on it everyday and only have added google analytics about two weeks ago. Could it be because of not having built up traffic yet?
Weird. Two months is quite a while. Anyways if it`s the video I`m thinking of, it`s outdated. Nowadays all you have to do is put in the code in the field in your all in one seo tab in the dashboard. If that doesn`t work, it`s most likely an error on the google analytics end and not your site. Have you taken the time to get used to thee analytics dashboard? You will have to at some point anyways.
Ok, I went back to the google analytics account through firefox and it is showing no traffic. If Kyle's video is outdated and I have already put the code into the editor on the website, how would I change it and correct the situation?
link to video? I`m not aware of some "editor" I`m pretty sure you mean plugin but which one? The more details you give, the better.
The video instructed to go under appearances>menus>editor to input the html code to the UA code in header and php code
Unnessesary when there`s now better methods. Frakly, I`ve never had any luck when messing with the code. Here, I just made a blog post explaining my method. If you do choose this way, you might want to undo the changes you made to the code as it might have been slown down slightly like this, just be carefull! Heres the blog:

Have my GA bookmarked http://www.google.com/analytics/. Also be sure you have registered to be notified by email. Each theme is different in where you apply the code in one place or every page (mine in Weaver II Admin Advanced Option Head section). Traffic info can be shown by day, week, month. You can also access GA through your plus account home window under products. Hope this helps. ^_~
