Seemed to have stalled out on WA ranking
Hello WA people!
I have been wanting to do a little post about my WA rankings for a while. I was truckin' along pretty good, so I decided to wait until I hit 200 to post about it. However, it seems like I have stalled out at 307.
I have been a member for about two months now. Pretty much everyday my rank went up until maybe about 2 weeks ago. I was getting pretty excited about making it to the top 200, and thought I had it in the bag...guess not.
I think what happened is I finished the first 10 courses and then started on the Bootcamp, but haven't really been working on that for a couple weeks. I have been trying to write more content and I have been having to look at a lot of information outside of WA for particular issues I am trying to resolve.
Seeing my rank just sadly sit there stuck at 307 is making me want to get back to following through with the Bootcamp and see if the Q and A resultlng from that will help my rank budge a little.
I have still been participating in the community everyday, but apparently not enough to get me any closer to the top.
It probably isn't a big deal to get ranked well in here, but it is something I have been shooting for. I am in the middle of a huge pressure on my patience and my pocketbook right now, hoping and praying for my website to become profitable sometime soon, and little obtainable achievements mean a lot.
So, I thought I would throw out this post, and let everyone know where I am at and how things are going. I really love reading other peoples updates. It is nice to be able to relate to people at different stages, and see how they continue to progress through all the phases of, hopefully, ultimate success.

Funny thing...I wrote this blog yesterday and then today I log back in to find that I jumped from 307 to 206! Guess it really was just lagging a bit lol. Yay!

Jamie, you are one of many who have struggled with the new algorithms that are being used for our rankings, me included. I think we may need to wait a few weeks to see if it sorts itself out and stabilizes.

Since the upgrade of the algorithm of the WA ranks, it's a bit unstable, I see a lot more complaints. Just keep working on your website, that's where you can earn money, the WA rank is not bringing any bread in the house.
I will keep at it with my website for sure, was just starting to feel like a bit of a loser. Happily, however, I awoke to find that I jumped up to rank 206 on WA today. Guess I started crying one day too early lol.

I understand what you are saying but just keep doing what you are doing and it will probably go up on its own. Sometimes mine stalls out for awhile too.
It is WAY more important to focus on your Google/search rank. If you want to improve that faster ask for comments. I didn't realize until lately how fast comments can increase your post rank (on your site, not here). It was literally overnight! I don't know if that has to do with other factors on my site too but if you start collecting comments it is bound to help.
I think you are doing this already, I am just saying I was surprised how well it worked. I just reached 300 comments on my site this week and the posts that I requested comments for rose up quickly though they were new posts.
My rank has not changed in over a week, given I went AWOL a few days while camping, but other than that I try to stay active.
