I Am Better For It!

Hello WA family! I hope that all is well with you and your loved ones. I wanted to originally talk about how blessed I am, but I could not really divulge the place from whence I was coming.

This past year alone has been a doozy for me; nevertheless, I have nothing to complain about. Have you ever felt that way? I am, huh … I am asking for a friend.

I have been blessed to wake up each and every morning, so far, with a modest amount of appreciation for my life. I do not feel as though I was taking thins for granted.

Painstakingly so, I have otherwise hardened my outer shell. Feeling impervious to the call of emotional responses. I think that I have become entirely too complicated.

In some respects, I do not value several things about my time. Several days ago, my nephew taught me an equation to calculate my worth.

This list of obvious questions can be thought of as puzzling; save the fact that, it will cause you to think. The equation was as follows:

Looking at his logic is sound; however, it does not allow for downtime. Theoretically, even if life were perfect, so mebody still would get it wrong.Hell, perhaps it will be me that gets it wrong. But hey, at least I am in the game and not on the sidelines. My nephew’s equation did have me thinking.

I bet that a few of you will plug in your own numbers to rate yourselves. And that kool! I think that it is awesome to challenge yourself when you can simulate results.

Taking The Equation Over

Consequently, I had to come up with my own twist to nephew’s equation. I like fluidity in my life. In instances such as this equation, I can build downtime into my equation.

I approach the ‘nobody’s perfect’ mantra happily when planned. If you look at each line item, except ‘Days’, the numbers are consistent with norms. You know, a 40 hour work week, 52 weeks in a year, and so on….!

For my example, I used the ‘Dollar’ amount from his example, $74, as the value of my time. Noticeably, I am 3 cents per hour shorter than his results. Over time, those coins would add up. You know …. a penny a day double kinda thing.

Needless to say, I can achieve the same $74 while reducing my time by 25%. That is why you see 22.5 for Days. That is a fair measure for eventualities in the grand scheme of things.

Truth be told, I have not been living up to my worth financially; which seemingly, is understandable. But that does not make it acceptable.

Apologies, sometimes I ramble! My point was to tell you that I am not perfect, but I am going to always try. Try to be a better man, content creator, author, and business man.

The realities that I thought were harsh are not so big now. When we go through a storm, every negative thought becomes a potential paralyzer to some aspect of our lives. Be open to the idea that those crippling moments occur, but what are you to do?

You stall, petter out at the very site of trouble. We start second guessing ourselves about insignificant things. Setting unreasonable expectations in hopes of jumpstarting a failing plan. Knowing all the while that the plan is not the problem, I/you/me/we are the problem.

If the plan sucked, it is on us. I am not pointing no fingers or nothing, but we created it. We allow it to stray.

And I close out by saying, we need what we need!

If we keep our minds right, we can keep our bodies tight!
